  1. Im starting to take this personally, if we are not careful Ill be putting my boots on!!! Looks like Fordy will have the pleasure of being managed by the 'Chosen One'...oh my wife has said I misheard her and she said I was the 'The Cloven one'
  2. Gordon Brown and Mandelson won. Clegg lost big time Cameron was just above neutral due to the starting place. To win 90 seats and still not get power is a bit harsh It is amazing that Kinnock mandelson Brown all of a sudden are so keen on PR when thewy have fought it for generations.
  3. for a feeling of justice to be done, I myself cannot see any of that coming to pass yet. Phil and others give me comfort some justice will be had, but at present it looks far from that at present.
  4. AA will get freedom of the city. They will name a bell after him and Avram after this dodge. Seems to me the HRMC have handed this case over to the office junior
  5. Now children if this is not enough to teach you not to go out into the sun without suncream and a hat on, I don't know what is.
  6. Now Benjii, I have been at a funeral today and so missed most of the action. On the way home i had to listen to Matt Slater on five live. He said that Pompey were going to pay 20p in the £ over 5 years and would start next season on 0 points in the CCC. Now of course he may not know the full facts as nor do I. They then went and interviewed Terry the builder who is on the creditors committee, that also includexs bizarrely the PFA (why when their debts are covered by football full payment stuff) Now Terry the Builder and Bishops printers together were on the committee. Both Pompey fans or suppliers in the future. The builder was owed 55k. Now he will get 20K knocked off his tax bill as a bad debt, and also return back 20p in the pound. Of course the original 55k included his profit, perhaps half. What is his debt really after tax rebate and his 20p in the £ ? 10-20k perhaps at most less his initial profit. He is not going to allow anything to happen to Pompey and as he said, @ At least we can guarentee the clubs survival' The HMRC have upped their debt, in this climate , will they turn 7m down? Pompey will get away with it. It is not that i dont trust your , Claphams or others judgement on this, it is just that it is too big a rotten apple to crush as the smell is too much for people to take and it would bring too many people into the equation.Football does not want that. There has been no question why Pompey appointed a new CEO, funny he was part of the FA in a great job, why leave tghat, unless he was sent to cover. I feel sick of this and the way the media just brush it off as 'Oh Pompey owe 138m' no questions and then, 'and we feel sorry for the supporters' Well I dont as they are donning their Wembley kit all on the back of being part of supporting a illegally trading business
  7. Lol and the referees love them. When he was losing a few games back he was implying that they were cheating for not giving them a penalty
  8. Google him and read his stuff. Lol. Already there has been counter claims to his inaccurate account.
  9. I can see the logic, but modern Britain does not have the stomach for the pain. So the minority Tories get in with Libs tame support. The pain of cuts and preparing the economy for a future is too much for the electorate and a Labour governemnt comes in as the coalition collapses. It is not an election you really want to win. The governor of the BOE has ot it right, the pain and medicine needed is so severe the electorate will not forgive.
  10. she looks like a young version of his wife. Can't blame him for admiring her though
  11. Just a bit, they used to feed it doughnuts
  12. yep you are right. You might be Madrid Saint or Torremolinos saint by then. Keep it as it is, I like to recognise the grumpy lefties when they post.
  13. no as the -10 has been replaced by massive expectation
  14. Perhaps its worth going on Betfair and seeing if any H is on line
  15. Fuengirola, the Bonanza bar. Is that still there od you know? ps could you now change your name to Malaga Saint , as its misleading Lol
  16. He's dead, and it took days to screw the coffin lid down
  17. This site must have a bigger percentage of Guardian readers than anywhere else Lol. Or that Guardian readers are so up themselves and think that they are right and the message it portrays is always right. All newspapers have an agenda, perhaps that the Guardians agenda is so subtle it has managed to brainwash its readers. If I was Cameron I'd make sure that Government waste was first directed at the Civil servant jobs section pages of that paper, the only thing that has kept it alive for decades is the Government publishing its ludicrous jobs in it. It would be amusing having those adverts put into the Mial so all the sniffy readers would have to pick up a copy Lol Ps I dont get any newspaper, but the Times would be the one of my choice, the Sun for a cheer up, and the DM for stressing myself up after reading about spongers
  18. I dont think Brits living abroad should be allowed to vote. Working short term ok, but if they are likely to be out of the country for more than 10 months then no vote. Im sure there is good reason why they should, but I cant think of any (armed forces an exception of course) I would expect that would help Labour more than others BTW, the Communist party would be finished though Lol
  19. Does that include North Sea oil revenue. It always is used in the arguement.
  20. Before the cheating was in full swing 3-1 to my side. Duckworth Lewis calculations showed it as a 5-1 victory to us, the stewards enquiry showd a 3-1 victory to us but the ref (Phils uncle) a 4-3 victory to the Pompey impersonators. I have had a couple of coomplaints form former players in my team who are most distraught to have to play in your side. Another injustice. As for the drink after the game, I would be more than happy to buy you one, come and see me after all your teammates manager and friends have bought you one and I'll see what I can do.
  21. I know Im a goon and so holding cash. Stock market recovery on what?Look at the graph re the housing boom and perhaps we are there. How can our companies be worht more money than they were when the economy was moving? IMO as a lot of people were getting little interest they have rushed into buying shares/buy to let to try and get a better return. At present they are have done well, the stocks have jumped and bounced back to good levels. I notice your swipe at people hoarding/buying gold, they might not all be goons and looking at the long game. IMO the banks are having an easy ride in making billions of profit, lend me money at 1% and below and I will make a big profit.
  22. I have fond memories of WGS's tenure. He brought the best out of a few players and I was sad he left. Bridgey and Mardens play together made a massive difference to the team , add BT's great form along with Killer and we had a fair team. Not great football IMO but a tough nut to crack. On a negative side, WGS playing Tessem instead of Kevin Davies was am jor mistake and time has shown he caused bedlam in Arsenals defence and would have been perfect for the cup final instead of a negative journeyman. Add his appalling signing of McCann and he goes away as a neutral manager success wise. Nicholl for me was the best after LM but he paid the price for folowing LM and not following Branfoot, if he had he would have been a legend.

let's hope he has just got tired of the negative stuff on here and now posts elsewhere.
  24. I think most of my teams wives are asking the same question of how their loved ones are going to get home safely after your late tackles. In fact as you ran about like a rabid dog kicking all that moved during the last game, or even if it wasn't moving I suspect your own team are renewing their insurance policies. The game is fast approaching, exciting aint it?
  25. I pointed out the flaw in the arguement. It iseasy to point and say that as it is a paper aimed at businessmen that they are going to back them, the case that they haven't for 20 years or so says that the Tories in their eyes have changed for the better. I didnt see any of your better points as the major one this thread is about was patently wrong. For you to be on this thread tells me that you of course would not need the Sun or another to make you decide who to vote for. You will make up your own mind and that is what debate is all about. I wish we could pick and mix a few of the parties policies, and that would be perfect. Sadly that is not possible and so Im plumping for the one that I feel will turn the countries fortunes back for the better.
