  1. Yep like we won't raise taxes or cut services, or we are in danger of weapons of mass destruction Lol
  2. I bet her pension problem will be sorted. lol. He didnt risk meeting her in public I assume Lol I hope she is a hardy soul and come out fighting. It will all be a misunderstanding of course
  3. Not biting Pompeylass, jsut knowing that you and your ilk really do believe you haven't cheated. Listening to Lord Haw Haw Grant , Im not surprised you lot havent got the brain to work it out.
  4. Could be one of many things, but his attitude in the car would make me think of finding a kerb to scrape it off.
  5. You do yourself a disservice comparing this with Cameron ansering a voters concerns about a disabled child. Cameron knows more than enough about that pain and so you should withdraw that under the belt comment. Cameron with a passion tried ansering the voters concern, he did not change the track and try to mention the economy etc. Whether the parent agreed was another thing of course, but he addressed the issue. For you to use that as a way of justifying Browns disrespect for the electorate is a surprise, but there again the left always try and deflect the blame and never look at themselves. As for hypocrisy , i think you should apologise to me ( I recall a couple of days ago you hounding Dune as he accused you of saying something you didnt and you got your way) as I never mentioned the word. Why is it silly comparing you to that lady? She also was a Labour supporter and you may well have asked a question that brown did not like and he may well have got in the car and said something derogatory that could have been broadcast to the nation by mistake. Do you feel she is a bigot as well ? as she had concerns about too many people coming in from Eastern Europe. She is a voter and has a right to ask questions and voice her opinions, she was not saying she disliked them but was worried about their impact on her and her famillies life. Far from bigotted IMO
  6. To me it is not what he said so much as him lambasting his aides for daring to put up a woman in the street. All those meetings he has had on the road with all the flag waving rosette wearing 'voters' are stagemanaged and so the one time he is let loose he gets all ruffled about it. Personally i think he handled the woman ok and did the usual sidestepping of the difficult questions, like all politicians do. What he has done has made the less intelligent voters realise he is not a man of substance... well I suppose what kind of substance it could be
  7. Those Pompey fans who bothered to go up to Wigan, are the die hards who will support Pompey in whatever league they are in. They are proper fans, the rest will moan and groan as it is a 4pm kick off , or its a sunday, or its live on Sky and so why should they go to FP. They only want to support their team when they are at Wembley or on southsea common parading themselves for free. As for the cheating to get to Wembley if you still do not see how, it is pointless wasting our time anymore. You were a regular poster in the past and so I will respect that and not respond to such a foolish position
  8. The winner in this is Clegg IMO. Those Northern inner city seat voters will not turn to Cameron but Clegg.
  9. Hold on BTF, you are defending him, he says something in public but then something else in private. This is a man who YOU put your trust in, and come on here defending. He has made himself and his supporters look clowns. How would you feel if you were that Labour supporting lady? She had faith in him, and when he moved into his car he then says something that was totally IMO out of order. Lambasting his aides for them daring to put someone in front of him who might make things difficult. You carry supporting the oaf, shameful the way he does things and the reports of his bullying of staff ring true after his manner on this occasion.
  10. Just watched the initial interview and she was just a ocncerned woman who asks fair questions. Brown answered them and I dont think he would have got the bad press he was worried about. His attitude in the car just shows that he was saying all his mealy mouth stuff but all the time was resenting that a voter dare ask him pertinent questions
  11. I have a great idea, why dont they do the open bus tour at Southsea for theior cup exploits and then drive down the M27 and do a tour around southampton celebrating their league exploits.
  12. was that in the initial interview before he called her a bigot? Are you not dismayed by Brown in this or are you going to blame the media conspiracy? How many more times do you need to see Brown to act like this, to realise that Brown/Mandelson?campbell only want him to be seen at stagemanaged events. Elvis Presley impersonators will be booked fully at this rate.
  13. The whole 142 who went to Wigan the other night I hold my hands up to and say they don't deserve it, the other lot who dont feel shame that yet AGAIN your club has stolen from the small businesses schools and charities so you can cheat your way to another Wembley trip I dont.
  14. I think that it just shows that he says one thing and thinks another. If you listen to it, He is sorry that he still had his microphone on. I dont doubt all politicians think these things but , what a bad mistake and shows that he is inexperienced dealing with the public when it is not stage managed. As for the lady, I felt she was concerned about the nations future and was getting distressed at the end of the interview. I would think Brown will get a lot of flak about this and his claims to be a man of substance have been torpedoed below the water line. The lady will be pressured into being wheeled out so Brown can go and meet her to say sorry in front of the cameras to his terms.
  15. So if we had hired 50m worht of players for a cup run when we knew we were trading insolvently, that would not be cheating? Can you not see that by getting players in on loan that the club knew it couldnt afford is cheating to gain an advantage. Those players were crucial to your progress in the FA cup and so you may understand why people are a tad upset. I am not surprised that the charities were out of pocket, I voiced my shame when we went into Admin as all those companies were done out of money due and caused hardship. I dont see you coming on showing anything but 'well we have paid back a couple of charities, but the rest is ok as we kept paying the players instead of the small family businesses that may be hurt forever.' Stand back and listen to yourself PIR
  16. Just to prove I was 100% correct as normal Lol.....I got the saints fan bit right....although DT had already mentioned that but Lol
  17. Well done Fos, fantastic charity as well. I know both managers would be more than happy to have you in their squad. The players already signed up will be fine by me but it is good to know that we have someone waiting to play if someone else drops out.
  18. Apart from that I was spot on
  19. i dont get your drift there Dune
  20. Morgan was bought in the same period and so you are correct, great business Rupes.
  21. Yep he was said to be a saints fan. I think I recall he was South african ??? and saw us win the FA cup and so supported us due to that. A Souness purchase I think, I personally wish he'd gone through and bought Friedel that was reported he was doing.
  22. but it is qualified by 'when the economic conditions are right' That could mean anything. Also with referendums the question/options asked may not fit into how we would like it and so it can be abused. I felt we should have gone into the Euro when it was about 2 to the £. We would be wealthier now. I do agree having the ability to devalue is a bonus but we may wish we were in the Euro if the pound starts to fall. Our economy is bankrupt and sooner or later the money markets will turn on us.
  23. OldNick

    Tory Boy

If you watched Panorama last night he was correct Lol.
  24. I was talking to a director at Bournemouth and asked him about Howes win rate. 57% according to him since he became manager. That is magnificent
  25. I dont think I have time to recall all the points he has saved, even this season. I do recall reading many comments on the after match threads of 'thank f### Kelvin' etc and strangley the Oldham game where they got an undeserved draw KD had to make a great save with his legs to keep the point late in the game. DT you have had a problem with KD all along and will never be swayed, but I believe if we had the whole team to his standard we would be in the play offs if not the promotion places. He is a proper professional and is a credit to his profession. As for Maik Taylor, I was never happy when Dave Jones got rid of him for Paul Jones, he is a useful keeper but please dont tell me he is a commanding keeper, I have seen quite a few gaffs by him over the years and he is not that good at coming for crosses either...all IMHO of course
