  1. isnt the landlord a skate. I went there the other day and there he was wandering around in a brand new Pompey vest.
  2. I cant wait for all the fans boycotting if we get to Wembley again, there wont be many who avoid paying the booking fee then Lol
  3. very good post Donkey
  4. Ho will point to the trophy cabinet, and the fans who have fed off the feeding frenzy or debt and corruption have lifetime memries that the rst of football would love. One day it would be great if the honours were stripped form them, added to their fall from grace down and down
  5. But the club may not wish to be tied to a finance provider as ML seems to be against that type of thing in his own life. I find it hard to beleive fans can't go and get credit , and there must be many lenders who will be delighted to lend, sadly at high pecentages. Sadly this board is like it was the last 3 years or so, fans threatening boycotts and harming the club financially. Stu should be commended for trying to get alternative options, but Zebra finance will not be doing it for nothing, and so the club would be out of pocket Are fans up in the air about interest free installments by the club? Isuggest if NC was trying to rip the fans off, he would leave the installment plan and add a 50 administration fee. You never know the plan all along was to offer that, after the hackles had been raised.
  6. Some of what you say may be true, if it was Wigan we wouldnt care and would like most others would not be interested in looking in depth into why you were allowed to trade on, even though for the 2nd time your club has robbed the butcher baker candlestick maker and charities.Being our local rivals we look into it more and it is with rightful incredulation our distaste that it has been allowed to keep going. Slowly the cesspit is being unblocked and little turds are are being flushed out. As the blockage is pushed through more is flushed out until the pipe is cleared. Your point reguarding our new owner is fair, the difference being that ML is making sure the club is to stand on its own feet. MM (where IMO the problems started) just spent and spent and it seems much of the debt was hidden. I recall just before MM sold the papers were mentioning 100m+ debt, but that was quickly brushed under the carpet and was rubbished.
  7. Stu Im trying to get my head around what you are expecting. Zebra collect the money and get commission/administration fee. Who pays these fees ? The s/t holder or SFC ? Would you be happy if the club ran the installment plan but charged a £50-100 admin fee? Or is the principle no interest/finance but at face value only?
  8. Can we replace his Ego, difficult
  9. i do agree the club could have warned fans earlier the installment plan was going , but I think ST holders have until august to buy, so time to make arrangements
  10. Stu but if they charge the club an administration fee there is a cost. You are happy to pay interest or an administration fee, but the majority wont. Remember when the free perk of buses to the ground were taken away. it become a god given right to free travel all of a sudden. That is the problem with giving out perks, every time it is taken away it causes much upset. Paying a finance companies interest is probably more that if the said people use a credit card.
  11. All due respect Stu but are these the same fans who wanted to boycott ?
  12. Lol and it will cost the club nothing,.Stu finance companies do nothing for 'nothing' the club will be charged for this service so it is not free. Quite frankly we have so many fans who need molly coddling that to keep them happy probably costs more than they get through the turnstiles.
  13. the thing is though, if you earn 500k you live up to that with the lifestyle they live. Therefore a lot of these people do not feel rich, they look at people in their social circles who are doing better and want to be at their level and so on. in my business dealings over the years, the people i call very wealthy are still not happy as they feel they could be earning more. it is not greed by the way, although to many it would seem that way. I may also add they do their best to screw every penny out of any transaction made.
  14. by being non doms I suspect. Taxes should not stop when you become a bilionaire. Im happy for them to get some tax breaks but some of it is a joke
  15. He sits/stands in the Northam a couple of rows behind Master bates
  16. This is the next problem, the expectations of the fans is going to make it harder for us next season. The season past was comfortable with the fans fully behind the team/club as we were only half expectant, next season and if we get off to a average start !!!!!!! it is not worth thining about
  17. Iam all for people making fortunes but at the same time I find it distatsteful that people like Sir Phillip Green makes billions but them pays nothing in taxes. His arguement is he is providing jobs etc etc but if he didnt supply the goods someone else would who pays taxes. There is no defence against billionaires not paying taxes into the system and alll loopholes should be closed immediately
  18. that will add fuel to the fire.
  19. If they had the balls, but it will take men of steel to actually say 'no you are goners' These are football people who will do their utmost not to see clubs go to the wall. I think at best they may well give a large points penalty, but i doubt they will be brave enough to be the people to cause the clubs liquidation. In this Im torn, sometimes id love to see them gone forever but then I see decent fans who cant help where they were born who don't deserve to lose their club. A long spell in the backwaters again would be justice for all the good days they have had after the cheating and overindulgences of the last few years.
  20. i assume that AA will use the 'If you penalise us , you will be responsible for the club folding' card
  21. Jason, surely then as this is so easy, why not find a drawer and put each installment in it and forget it is there until you pay in august. The club are not fans savings scheme. I think we are doing a lot of fans a disservice as Im sure most will have shrugged their shoulders and made alternative arrangements.
  22. things are looking up this morning. Perhaps the HMRC have been formulating a plan afterall
  23. Mine alos but the thread that is hanging off the badge annoys me....so I expect they'll keep it on
  24. so to let fans pay by installment, we have to have barcode/swipe machines fitted at a cost of 300k (Grantys figure) it may be 100k who would pay? Oh the fans by higher ticket charges. Then the fans complain at the rip off prices. Surely it is not beyond most if not al to get a credit card.
  25. Not many and the ones I have read not so.You living in the US could not say so.
