Lol Bart...IMo he doesnt do crosses that well either. You'd prefer someone who takes crosses more than a shot stopper!! it is laughable. Yep a keeper who takes crosses is better than one who makes match winning saves. Have a word with yourselves

Surely if this is ratified it would not be instant but come into play in a season or two's time.
-
Apart from Pompey which other club out there do you not like and why?
OldNick replied to dune's topic in General Sports
Everton due to 84 and Liverpool as my best mate used to support them in thier glory days in the 80's, and their fans are winey little toads who can't take it if they haven'y got the upper hand. Their cheeky Scouse humour soon goes out of the window -
Well it is a shame we didn't sing to them 'You'll never play here again' during the cup match

So who's received their wembley tickets in the post yet?

How did you know, did you ask him to keep you updated? -
Will they get charged interest for getting a loan early etc?

If you showed them a wheel they'd flatten the edges to make it a square

but Louise is a woman, you do realise that I suppose Mack

and which of those players are going to take us to the PL? I am sure KD may be in his last 2 seasons ,but I appreciate what a star and loyal man he is to our club. I hate to see that loyalty repaid by people picking holes , when the problem is in the main elsewhere. We all have our favourites and KD is not in my top 4 or 5 keepers we have had in the 40 + years I have watched saints, but he is probably the most loyal and least mercenary of the lot. He turned down PL riches to stay at our club and unlike many others he didnt leave the sinking ship.

Mine haven't arrived yet -
Exactly, had we taken 1 of our chances first half then it would have been a lot different game 2nd half as they would have had to open up, that would have let them exploit them more.
-
I assume he is doing what he is told by the manager. We seem intent on getting the ball quickly up the field to battle in their half. When will you finally accept that we are League 1 and keepers who are not only great shotstoppers but take crosses etc etc etc do not play in the 3rd tier of their leagues. How many times in the last few seasons have we been thankful for KD for keeping us in the game? Your and Westons criticism is uncalled for and churlish at best.(as you sit together it is no surprise that you hae the same opinion) I will add i do not know him. I do defend him from these stupid attacks that always are in the undercurrent when we lose.

I dont think Swindon deserved to win. We created more and they stifled the game and hit us with a good break away goal. We hit the post bar and their keeper made some good saves. A draw at best
-
Swindons 5man midfield out ran and out passed our 4 men. They pressed and were composed and always had the threat of their forward , who took his chance beautifully. Their keeper made a wonderful save to keep out Thomas's header and had we scored they would have ot have opened up more. A draw would have been fair although we did a bit more. To read Westons summary criticism of KD is unfair. Their keeper spilt a lot more shots than he did and was never at fault with their goal. I do think the haste we try to get the ball up to Lambert does make his kicking skew. I cant see the point anyway as Lambert wins little against the defences in the air.

It is a superstition now BTF, a bit like not mentioning Macbeth if you are an actor. Just watch the bad news stories come out of Pompey now

Im not sure if I like that one Foxy, what has happened to the respect all of a sudden? I now can see I have been lax in my disipline,50 press ups for you as punishment. Dont come back until you have done them. My wife called to me last night 'Nick there is a Chinese lantern in the sky' I went and had a look and replied ' No my dear It is Foxy doing some shooting practice, that is a football'

I doubt he'd be quite so obvious, but....

'fans if they can (he's a great believer that fans should be able to invest).' I bet he will want them to. Personally I would be cautious if I was them. Very few would contact the fans first.

Just saw a bit on south today about the LLoyd meeting. Ooh , then a few words from his bid advisor. He hasn't put the 3m down yet but to be fair he has travelled down to have the meeting and so he must be interested.

Portsmouth City have won 1 trophy Southampton football club have won 1 trophy. AFCP will have won nothing. The FA cup game was an oditty to me, it didnt feel like our despised rivals were at the ground. It was a hollow feeling and I was surprised how little heart Pompey had on the day, except for O'hara who made the difference. Had we scored first you would have folded and Yes we did let in 4 ,but we were the only side on the day who really went for it and fell for the sucker punches. Anyway this is not about the cup it is about Pompeys takeover, are you worried that these new people are Lynhams/Fialkas or are they proper? Ps i got your jest re gold.
