He could be successful in Scotland, he won't be in England unless he gets lucky against Chelsea in the Fa Cup

Well we agreed to meet up for a drink to iron our our differences. You got a bit aggressive after I showed you the evidence that I had dug up, that the ref for the last game was indeed a distant relative. You kept that quiet. Anyway, how was I to know you'd get so lairy after 2 martini's and a pink gin. The taxi driver said to me as we drove past you, trying to hold back a chuckle ,that he wouldn't rush back to pick you up 'after last time'. What he was alluding to im not sure. As for a cure for a cold, a bath of boiling water springs to mind. I hope the home team can indeed also uphold our honour when we play. Ok so you hammered Foxy on the golf course, but that was a different sport, he will come out determined to put that right when he is through on goal.

Yep you live and learn. Foolishly I thought that NI would not put his name to such a thing. Whilst I do not know him I felt that he would be sure of the venues quality. it was billed as a party and whilst I have been to lots of s### parties I didnt ever believe it was going to be as it was. I find the sneering posts of some quite amusing, these people are so clever and enlightened never have they had reason to complain about anything they have purchased or been sold, as they are so damned astute. If I ever go back to Wembley to see the Saints i will know whrere to go next time.

I assume money forwarded from parachute payments and tv money

It was not a pub, are you stupid?
-
I didnt go for the drink, I also didnt know that they were advertising 3 pints for a £1. Why we went there was that we had 3 youngsters late teens early 20's who did not have tickets. So the plan was for them to sup up the atmosphere in a great environment. When we went to the Millenium (Cardiff is a bit of a pit) lots of fans without tickets went into the pubs and enjoyed the day from there. No reason to believe as this gig was promoted that this would not be the same. It was a massive disappointment that it was so disgusting , filthy and third world. It is ok to say 'London is crammed with decent pubs' not having frequenting them around wembley before and also seeing that it was a Saints only event I felt more comfortable leaving the 2 young ladies and a lad there. We were able to find 3 tickets so they got into the match (But yet again greedy saints fans made us pay above the odds for the privilage, except Hemel Saints group)

as far as I understand it, is that it is impossible for him not to pay the wages as he is liable. If he can see he not able to fulfill that commitment he has to wind the club up.I dont think that is at all likely to happen yet
-
Yep, you should go and avoid going out ot any clubs if you have to pay. Enjoy yourself

I agree that it seems that it may be a fight to the death. Ifr BA are prepared to rent other aircraft for a cost of 5m a day then they are going for broke (poor term perhaps) I have not yet seen any good reason why BA staff should get more pay and perks than any of their competitors. if the staff are so good they will walk into jobs at any other airline.......

Ive just been reading the comments on the UI. The last comment on there that Silverspoons is a Yardies club, would not surprise me one bit.I doubt that NI or COYR will get a penny back from the owners of that place. I think it would be best if they came out and gave us a run down of the costs, that would at least show us that the fans have not ripped their own off. It was put that it was sold ut and so 20k in ticket sales. Please tell what the costs were

To be fair they made it sound good. I have never been to a NI event before and so was not expecting the totally naff place it was. The Echo should feel a tad aggrieved that they were part of promoting this disaster. I wonder if NI will put any comments about it.

really good show, and Jonathan Pearce has gone up in my estimation

I was told, (not sure if it is true)that the BA staffs contracts were from 1947. If true then how can that be correct for 2010? I understand why they want to keep their perks, but they should understand if they want the company to be there in 10 or 20 years time they have ot make the changes. IMO they have little support from the public as a whole. They have taken the wrong route and sadly the union leaders always come across as militant uncouth oafs, who only seem to be able to bully.

Are you the one who hung the flag up? If so I asked you what TOSSA and Coleslaw meant

reading that makes me sick. If food was on sale (I didnt see any, but I left at about 11)I think it would have been pretty risky to try any, after seeing the toilets and state of the place. I had given NI the benifit of the dubt that he hadn't known the state of the place. As he had been there before i feel fairly cheesed off with him. I await a response from him.
-
Good, I have not seen any post on this thread or any other defending the venue or its promotion. As for the loos, the floors were deep in fluid, my best hope was that it was water

Trousers, for the return of £60 (6 tickets)I dont think I'll bother. Sadly, if as I have read that NI had indeed been to the premises it saddens me.Foolishly I and a lot of others fell for the stuff in the Echo and on the COYR website.Having a well known fully fledged and committed Saints fan, who I believe is always well intentioned, involved in this gave me confidence. We left at 7am to get there for its advertised opening 9am. On arrival our hearts sunk. 20k for that!!! now I know renting places in London is expensive but even Peter storrie could not fall for that fee.

BBC doing what they did when we close to going into oblivion, talking about a missing cat that time -
Labour deserve to inherit the mess they have caused. Sadly the country is badly damaged and we have nobody in any political party who has the ****** to grab the nettle

better than South Today who havent even mentioned it yet. No Dinage on Meridian who did a decent feature to be fair -
To be fair if I and others had any idea it would be like it is they would not sell any tickets. Personally I felt that the way it was advertised, it looked a good place to start the day off. I can only assume that NI had not seen the venue, if not then Im sure the damage it does to him is more than earning himself a few grand.

I voted Harding as MotM as he was up against thier best player. Fonte was superb and then the whole team did well. The first 10 minutes we looked edgy and Carlisle most likely to score, but a superb cross from Antonio and we got the penalty. From there we were comfortable, but i did not like the way we played after our fourth. Sitting back instead or giving us more excitement. I found the last 30 minutes an anti climax. Great day and as per normal with these things a lot of my memories will be the journey up, seeing all the cars decked out in colours, and Fleet being full of happy saints.Forgetting the Silverspoon everything else was superb. A word for the Carlisle fans, i thought they were a good bunch and only let themselves down by leaving and not watching the presentation ceremony etc.
