  1. I cant see the FL clubs voting in favour of that as it gives the relegated teams such an advantage
  2. and every week they are......how many weeks have they been toast but somehow squirm out of it? If they were under the same business rules the rest of us have to adhere to then I'd agree, but weeks ago they should have turned the oxygen off, but somehow they stick in there. My head tells me they will come to a sticky end but they certainly keep showing signs of life. Getting relegated is not my idea of them getting their comuppence, and if that is all they get they have shafted everyone. Next week if they go out of the cup we may then see the meltdown but boy it gets tedious waiting for the excitement. When was that High Court winding up order heard??? I t has been going on for a lifetime
  3. I dont follow Fulham but I thought he was getting a lot of abuse from their fans last season. Has that changed and is he playing every game?
  4. I thnk he means how AA was caught out before by the HMRC, but it could 1 of a hundred other tricks that club has got up to. I have become disenchanted with our legal system. You see this lot who to me seem to be flouting the law time and again and nothing seems to be done. Sadly Clapham has kept a low profile, and I would have loved to have seen more of his professional knowledge talk us through what he sees going on. It would be an interesting slant on things, he helped a lot to grasp an understanding of when we were in admin.. When AA first arived htere was a lot of trumpetting of redundancies, but they mostly turned out to be part tiem staff, why has he not got a knife to the fat in the club? From here it stinks, and I hope the HRMC really have their top people watching the goings on fully. Monday things may change dramatically if Pompey are out of the cup, but the way things are going you can see them turning Spurs and harry over.
  5. Perhaps Boro should point out Pompey havent played Dindane for the very same reason. Iam surprised that Pompey had not renegotiated that when they needed money some months ago
  6. Earning 3 times what he does now soon becomes quite a draw.Im sure Baird is upset he doesnt get many games but Im sure he soon forgets as he sees his wage slip. If AL believes in his own ability he would not be thinking he was going to warm the bench (whatever I believe would be the case)he will be expecting to set the world alight.
  7. Well with those provisos Im sure you can say he is not leaving, I have no doubt he is saying what you have told us. Time will tell if his head gets turned.
  8. Weston , it is all very well saying AL says he wont be leaving but my house is not for sale at any price, until I get a massive offer that makes me think differently. Wait and see if a big opportunity comes along and then see. I do wonder also if Antonio's success has indeed sparked Reading into not wanting him to leave there.
  9. Buchan played him on, but he was always very bitter when asked about it
  10. great stuff, what memories
  11. Good post, and might not be far from the truth..but the drip drip of its all over is wearing thin as no action is happening. No doubt if they lose sunday then it will go into meltdown and the players will hae to find other employers
  12. And people wonder why I have said time and again 'Pompey will get away with it' All of a sudden their injury ravaged side has got 4 players back. Spurs should win,but dark forces are in play
  13. I agree that Granty defended 19thc from many who wanted him out, and has been very fair. I haven't seen what 9teen did yesterday but it must have been pretty bad. I do hope it is not a case of appeasement to get former memebers back on. 19c gave a good account lots of times. I hope he gets another user name and stops the snipes at MLT etc which does irritate many who then retaliate.
  14. is that a threat or a promise Steve? Lol.
  15. Perhaps it was all to save appearance ,win (lol) bonusses etc
  16. But the income due is guarenteed from the PL and tv companies and so a nice risk free earner I would have thought
  17. Yep and then he says 'tell me where the money has gone?' talk about trying to appease the fans
  18. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/frattonlatest/You39ve-been-hoodwinked.6207921.jp Old Harry trying to justify his spending...and of course none of it is his fault
  19. Skatres sang that as some of our fans left
  20. Oh god, a couple of those lads from there played cricket for us a few years back. Sad day whoever father/son husbands have perished. RIP
  21. Mike, they will get 12k if they start on the same points as the rest of the division. If they get -10 or better(in our eyes) then the crowds could be sub 10k. Forget not that they can't rely on 2000 away fans to bolster the figures
  22. I had hoped that we would have gone for Lutons right back. A very good defender who did well when we played them.
  23. Lol but to be fair, most people are expecting them to lose. I recall a couple of Skates saying ,it will be a great day at Wembley. I pointed out losing in a semi final is not at all nice, completely different to a final day.I still have bitterness from over 25 years ago after the defeat at Highbury
  24. Exactly, but AA is very quiet and I expect the fan is starting to get ready for s### to hit it after the semi final
  25. I assume they have sold all their tickets. More plastic will be there than in Jordans bra
