  1. But chief executive Storrie said the club must also secure new investment quickly to stave off going bust and he has been negotiating with horse racing tycoon John Magnier and Saadi Gaddafi, son of Libyan leader Colonel Gaddafi (end quote) Funny how it was reported by Pompey last week that they had no contact with Gaddafi. You just know Gaddafi will roll up as owner, the dirty club as it is now would jump at the chance. The Pompey in its real glory days would never have gone near it.
  2. He put in some superb crosses and his work and fantastic cross to create the heading chance that Papa missed was brilliant. How the ref missed the push on barnard is a mystery to me.
  3. poor first half, little threat and we need Barnard to get his first goal to settle him down. My MOM was Holmes
  4. Of all the games to play after that news breaks is to play Pompey. He will get loads of Terry taunts
  5. That is not a funny thing to do, although I suspect the person doing it thought it was. That will only serve for a tit for tat response from one of their fans to our club site. Its not on IMO
  6. I just tried to find that link and got this This Connection is Untrusted You have asked Firefox to connect securely to http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure. 7. I think he has been watching Fools and Horses, which in a funny way sums up Pompey fans. 'This time next year Avram, we're gonna be million airs'
  8. If the Dindane deal has fallen through adds 80k a week back onto the Pompey wage bill. That will not be easy to fund. That will put even more pressure on the club to sell. How has Kaboul all of a sudden become a star plyaer ? he couldnt get a kick the last time he was at Spurs as far as i recall anyway
  9. I do agree but after their finest have been to SMS in a few weeks time I suspect we may feel differently
  10. Bucket collection. Ive one down my shed, its lost its handle will that do??
  11. yeah but they need decent players to get them out of the hole. Frankly cash is not will save them (eg £5m or less) it is their PL survival. if they happen to stay up all of a sudden they will have a lower wage bill and the big tv revenues flowing in.That would make them attractive to an investor. Therefore their focus is to get a side together that can stay up and do anything to deflect any other bills. hence CCJ's and winding up order put to the back of their priorities. I hope I have got that right Clapham and others may explain it better...if they agree with this of course
  12. i assume the Ohara loan fee and wages will be knocked off what spurs have to pay for Kaboul and Bergerac. Less the money due to them still outstanding on other deals they may feel they might not scrape in.
  13. I havent seen it posted here already but SSN news said last night that the web firm who took the site down was over a payment of £2k!!!!
  14. Considering Spurs are run by people of a faith that is supposedly financially astute, it amazes me they have bought at this time.
  15. Did you get to look on the results of the poll. There is not a vote to blame Redknapp or Storrie, ok there is a lot blaming the whole crew but are they blind to where the problem started\?
  16. oh dear a Gary Glitter take over might be in the offing if he sees what is on offer. No Gary it is the clothing only!!
  17. well Storrie has a lot to lose as he I assume could be prsecuted for trading while a company is insolvent if that is the case. Like the Financial director last week who resigned to save her face, it looks to me anyway. hitlers bunker is being vacated quite quickly as the Reds are on their way
  18. Yep I read it and thought that is a good point when they go on about their history.Of course we cant say we have done anything and MLT played for another club
  19. Is it just me who imagines Johnny Bognors Hitler bunker you tube thing reading that?
  20. I spoke to a Pompey fan mate today and he still insists it is all worth winning the FA cup for, as they only have to take a 10 point hit for doing so. (he doesnt go anymore,by the way) and then said 'where has all the money gone for sales of Crouch Defoe etc?' I explained to him they had to be bought first and then the wages etc
  21. yep but when we win the CL Fa cup and PL quadruple, it will be beaten......just
  22. Classic washing of their hands of the situation. 'Please fans dont blame me. It was not me i was only following orders' Storrie saw for the first time during the petition the fans turn on him properly and I suspect he is now looking to run for cover.
  23. The first post by Fitzhugh was 0n 8/7/09 and took nearly five months to get to 5000. My posting on 30/12 at 3.27 was number 5000, in less than a month we have had 4000 posts. This thread is gaining momentum, our resident historian may well be the the poster who started a historic thread that may become the all time most visited and commented on.
  24. Is that picture before the caravan is added to the back of the ox?
