  1. Those things are at work in every western economy. Dont tell me that Blair's sudden change of heart regarding Formula 1 didn't have anything to do with a donation that suddenly came forward. The state of Mass has been Democrat for generations. It is like a safe North East seat going to the Tories, however much they throw money at trying to convince the voters they would not change unless something dramatic changed their minds. It is not just about immigrants but also about the fact that the man in the street resents paying for others who have never paid in. As I put earlier, if we never had experienced the workings of a health service we would rally against paying a lot more of our earnings to seemingly gain less and at the same time contribute to what we may feel rightly or wrongly) unworthy benefactors.
  2. of course you are an expert. I have many clients in Mass who were normally with Democratic leanings. They are up in arms about the thought of paying for other peoples health care.
  3. No Im not missing the point. i understand that the drug companies make a fortune out of both situations. The drug companies were not voting in Masschusetts, it was th people who can see illigal aliens taking for nothing
  4. Bungle the drug companies have no problem making fortunes from the NHS, and so I doubt that would be a problem in America. I myself want a free health service to those who have contributed into it. If we never had one here and we all of a sudden were having it driven through i suggest the majority of decent hard working people would be against it providing for those who come into the country to take the benifit of it without ever putting in. Now of course you may believe there is a right to life for all. in an ideal world that would be fine, but sadly the lifeboat can only take so many on board and so it should be for those who havecontributed to help make the NHs what it is.
  5. its Saints you full well know we will blow the chance if not Leeds could make it a great day, harder to win of course.Carlisle would bring a lot
  6. It seems true justice is not going to be served. If the PL pay them the money, they can then defer the tax problem by appealing. Their league position can easily be sorted as Burnley Wolves Hull and Bolton are not as good and unable to get the points needed to pull away.Pompey only need to get to the next tv monies and then they will be safe. All possible as Gaydamek will not call in his money ifr it means them going into admin as he will lose more.
  7. Are you just practising in case it happens?
  8. DD's problem was defending your honour , wasn't it Alps?
  9. That was funny
  10. Embarrassing reading.
  11. I know Daren but a lot of them are just unfortunate that they were born on the wrong side of Hampshire. They in the main are just like us, passionate football fans. Mixed with a lot of thickos of course
  12. "We now expect that, subject to any appeal, the petition will in due course be heard by the High Court in the usual way," a spokesperson said. They will have to go for this to gain more time
  13. It would be a decent thing if Saints fans showed a bit of class and did not go onto their sites to rub it in. Those lads are decent football fans, and whilst they dislike us they will be hurting. They love their club like we do ours and so should refrain . I know it is not the end but ...
  14. 'I've been told that there are three bids on the table for Pompey. One is a Thai group, one is a Russian guy whose name I've been told but won't repeat on here (he's very, very wealthy though - we're talking multiple billions) and the third is in all likelihood not arabs but Hong Kong Chinese - again mega Billions. Good to see what Stuey said - that mega rich investors wouldn't be lining up to buy Pompey - coming true isn't it? He's a genius that Stuey' Guess the poster competition......and there's loads more for you all to giggle at. Feel free to add any other gems by this mystic
  15. 'We feel we have come in and been fully open and frank with them to explain the club's position, where we are and how we'd like to go forward. Are they for real? When have they been frank and forward?
  16. why dont you PM Steve grant etc rather than a look at me post on here?
  17. dont get involved DD. There was nothing like it used to be
  18. I would have thought Abramovich would have been a little peeved that a player they sold for 4m was then quickly sold on for 12m? and they still didnt pay them the money due. I do accept Grant may be able to persuade him though.
  19. Im glad he has had a chance. There is omething about him that I think he'd do ok. He works hard and tracks back and can cross the ball. In fact he does try to get to the byeline as well
  20. Why reward mediocrity? He is just sitting out his contract, he has no heart to play for us IMO
  21. Perhaps but the way that some seem very keen to destabilise makes me believe so.I suspect there are saints fans who do the same elsewhere. I am not aiming that at Alpine by the way.
  22. It is not me who needs to stay calm StL. It is ridiculous but thats football fans for you. We have many fans who put their hands in the fire, got badly burnt then do it afgain and again as they can't comprehend why it hurt so much the first 5 times.
  23. When you see this week some on here still questioning his ability , it is amazing
  24. Gerald Ratner school of PR, bloody funny though. he is just another who does not understand football fans mentality.
