  1. I think when he came on he has not been the player we remember from last season. When he did come on he tried too hardto impress perhaps and that didnt help.
  2. Are you for real? Lol The last people you mess with are HMRC. I also believe that they can give punitive rates of interestand penalties.I dont think 5% would be the figure.Anyway I note that PFC have been late paying for many years and that will not be looked kindly upon.
  3. I havent noticed this being posted, sorry if it is a duplicate. He has gone to Doncaster then.He has lost a bit of confidence this season , probably as AP has not played him.Down to his lack of height I expect.
  4. one minute is it sole owner and then the next there are backers. It doesnt add up

Thats the problem no government can afford to lose the City and the4y have us by the short and curlies. They generate so much wealth that the country that doesnt create much else cannot afford to lose them. Pubs are going out of business due to the fact that the whole culture has changed and most of the pubs are run more as property companies rather than selling beers for the brewery. if i was PM Id legalise prostitution, drugs and cut back on supermarkets selling cheap booze. The idle would work and the frail and weak looked after. The City would be encouraged to make money so that it could spread down the food chain.Excessive bonusses would be frowned at though

Hold it there BTF you are adding to a myth. When Blair came to power he took away the BOE's powers to regulate and let the bankers have a free reign. That is when the excess was started and the BOE was neutered. I have no time for the bankers who took easy pickings due to the self regulation. They have won always round and hard working people in the private and public sector will pick up the bill. The PM was the chancellor during the time when the 125%mortgages were given out, and when it was reported our credit levels were the highest borrowings in history etc.He did nothing. It was obvious you cannot have house prices double and treble when wages are only going up 2-4% for there not to be a major adjustment. If a person cannot put a button down as a deposit then they are not able to pay back a mortgage of 125%. It was during his watch this happened and so with Blair should shulder the blame. The bankers earnt massive amounts of money and i doubt only a small percentge of people on here would hold their hand up and say enough is enough this is wrong if they were doing the same, but carry on making their famillies rich forever. I believe in capitalism and that the people who work hard and do well can help the less able. If you want to go back to the early 1970s where you had strife throughout the strata and the brain drain you are making a big mistake. Cameron is not the type of Tory leader that inspires me, but he is more likely to take the tough decisions tha the country needs right now.Brown will throw whatever money he has to, to try and make things look good shortterm so he can cling to power. You have grandchildren i think Im right in saying, if so you are doing them a disservice by defending his policies that they will have to pay back for theior lifetime.Remember when he came to power the counrty was in the black and it is accepted they inherited a golden economy that was about to take off. 10 years of squander and we now are back to where we were where Callaghan and Healey left us. Taxes will be heaped on us till we squeak, it is not going to be pretty for us whoever is in power. In a strange way i hope Brown wins because he will reap what he has sewn and the left will never again be able to tll us how good they are in power.Winning the next election is a poisoned chalice as they will be blamed for the medicine we now have to take for others misdemeanours.
  7. and the 'can we have our picture taken with you Dr?' lol
  8. How many s/ts have you sold, the 13.5k that would get to 16k doesnt seem quite correct.Your mate at the club can surely give you an update
  9. The teams stated are in teh PL and so have gained the profile by doing so. Yes Portsmouth is renowned for its naval history and that would be of interest to some.Pompeys recent footballing history has been good, of which you are paying for now. You have again escaped without getting a proper penalty by buying sccess but you as fans have great memories to hold and so dont care. Portsmouth city council have great plans, it will be interesting to see how they fund it, but i do agree they have a better business mind than the Southampton one.
  10. I can understand your frustration but non Pompey fans i talk to without fail cannot understand why billionaires keep sniffing around the club.I was talking to somebody from The City about it and he was alos incredulous why ,and thought there may be something odd about it all.You are a proper football fan who loves his club, I have no problem with that but standing back from your bias you must see that it does seem odd why. Wigan Blackburn Burnley have just the same fan base and facilities but no billionaires are turning up at their door. As for the hacks having a go, your club is a circus much like ours was a few seasons ago. They did not like Lowe and were out to destabilise and they obviously want to get you, there seems to be lots of WHU fans in the media and as they are in trouble they will do their best to hole any rival under the waterline. No stories seem to run on their financial problems
  11. Are you not disrespecting the the working class.I assume it means that to be working class you go out looking for a fight hurl abuse at all and sundry and shout expletives? Not in my experience. Most are decent hard working people. I suggest Derry wants the less savoury to be kept away. The above can be put in many of the other categories, I know a lot of middle class people who could easily fit the bracket.
  12. lol, sentence wrong again.
  13. i can see your point from a Pompey fans position, but to get the stadium and all you say online will take a few years. If i was as wealthy as he is alleged then I would want quick results. The other thing that i find odd is that it now he appears to have backers!!! Why would a billionaire need backers? You of course dont care but there is still something not right here,Avram grant an isreali giving advice to a Saudi.Im sure that is not new but i would have thought not so public. It is a smokescreen i would have thought. Perhaps the carrot of the WC and free money may have swung it but i dont want the WC in England we will be paying for the Olympics for a generation why the WC as well.i would feel the same if it was SMS by the way.
  14. Funny how the Skates stick together and never argue against their own. Then we have of ours on here....
  15. Merovingian you have good sources at FP with your connection to POL(some quite dry and amusing posters i must admit) Are you comfortable or like myself wnder a little why there is nothing about this man? Storrie has unearthed a gem that Everton WHU Newcastle and others have not, even though his name cropped up a few weeks ago and their agents must have tried to derail your investment.Or has he just found another DR. It is quite a mystery. To me as an outsider i dant see why people are so keen to buy into PFC when there arte other more straigthtforward purchases. I keep hearing about the development potential of the surrounding area but I doubt it can be worth 100's of millions profit. If they are banking on getting a free stadium on the back of a WC then they may be disappointed i suggest.
  16. yeah it was a better atmopsphere under RL Lol
  17. I suspect if the club are wishing to change things they would have factored in the loss of revenue. I expect the policing and stewarding of fans in that area is more costly than it is elsewhere , not Northam of course but generally. The Itchen corner did generate a lot of noise towards the away supporters but not so much to the team.I stood there against Pompey and Norwich PL and it was awesome but they were certain games, this season it has not been such a force IMO
  18. so if you want to sit in with the away fans you have a right to do so? No you have been moved along once and the club if it wishes can do the sameagain. It wont in my opinion but hope the fans see sense. I have no info that the club wish to move the Itchen for the away fans , but it makes sense to push them around a couple of blocks and make the home presence in the Northam greater.Looking at the ground plan you can still give the away fans a corner of the Northam and a couple of blocks of the Itchen for the majority of games. That could mean the Northam will have a greater effect on the noise generated for the home team, whilst diminishing the away fans effect for their team. The Itchen will become less populated in the area near to the away fans as the ticket holders there will only be able to get tickets for freinds etc and so the casual supporters will get their tickets elsewhere. It will become less of a focus and fans will want to move to the more noisy areas. I am sorry that the Itchen corner is likely to diminish but if we get an end where the fans can make a difference it is a price worth paying for us all. Of course there may be other reasons and the club has no intention of moving the away fans, it is all guesswork
  19. Hey Phil, wasnt Ho subserviant when he wanted some info? Far from the arrogant we will be signing Ronaldo next week tones. It will return now they are minted again Lol
  20. If there was a consensus that the Chapel was going to be a kop end then Id happily move.I want SMS to be intimidating for the away teams...for the away fans not so worried as we are not Millwall or leeds, or even Pompey.
  21. I myself believe the stewards do well to keep their cool under stressful circumstances.I get tired of them having to get fans to sit down.many are obviously defiant and that makes the job harder.I have decided to move next season, as it is annoying getting up and down constantly. The fans behind us stand all game and as soon as we have sat down you get stand up if you love the saints etc. Funny if you are already standing but irritating 20 times a game. As for the arguement v B rovers ,i have much sympathy for the lads who had the arguement as they rightly pointed to the away fans all standing and us being inconvienienced. The steward was just doing as he was instructed by the main steward and of course the law of the land.I dont know what the answer is though to stop this problem
  22. from my standpoint i assume the club are not allowing non s/t holders to buy tickets to try and slowly reduce the fans wishing to sit there and so next season it will be easier to relocate the away fans. The Itchen corner seem determined to stand by the away fans for the banter. That is fine but they would get just the same banter by getting tickets alongside them in the northam? Surely their voices would be better served egging on the team from an end where they are likely to be heard by the team. I doubt the Chapel or the rest of the itchen can hear them. I myself dont understand why the concept of having 1 end full of vocal fans cannot be a great bonus to the days enjoyment rather than it being a disadvantage. When buying tickets for the semi final at Villa park did they demand to have tickets away from the saints end and alongside the away fans. Can you not see what a nonsense this is?
  23. thanks for that.
  24. I think it is part of a scheme to relocate the away fans around inot a less effective position and to get the home fans into the majority of the Northam. The fans relocated can still stand and 'have banter' with the away fans by getting s/ts close to the away section in the northam
