  1. well how about comparing them to us at Carslisle and you at villa saturday
  2. Yeah you'd love that . lol
  3. Is it a case that due to lack of pace that James is not willing to get to the byeline to cross as he is concerned at getting back to defend. I preferred it when he moved back to right back where he is more effective going forward
  4. I agree he is going to be a fans favourite
  5. He still walked, as i say a hero to me until he upped sticks.Did very little since then for me to forgive. As he also went back to his spiritual home.If he had been a success there i doubt he would have given us more than a passing interest now.
  6. Well Weston unless Clapham comes on and tells me that the administrator could not be paid then I will hold onto my belief on this.
  7. The company had assets that it could sell. The administrator ALWAYS had the ground and the rest of the squad to sell, whether it be a grand each to cover his costs at the end. He only scratched the surface by selling AS DMG to keep the football club going, if it was a final wind up there were assets and money for him to take hs fees from.
  8. its amazing that this super striker who scores slightly less than 1 in 2 or 1 in 3.5 games (depending on which distorted stat you want) could not be sold or gien away in a firesale. All those PL CCC La Liga scouts etc must have had the summer off. He is overrated by a percentage of a L1 clubs fanbase, sadly the people who need to rate him dont as he is still here. Saga go and prove us wrong, after all he was going to score fun in L1
  9. Weston Im sorry I dont take that as being correct. There is no way the administrator would not get paid.It is an impossibility as they get access to the funds raised.Clapham will be able to clarify it exactly but IMO there is no way administrators are ever left unpaid.
  10. why dont they do the book signing pre match at Pompey they might then fill the ground
  11. im not a fan of Saga and you have got it right there.I will admit he did chase the odd lost cause but it was interesting how AP gve a criticism of how Lambert was not supported. I do hope we have notmissed the boat in ridding ourselves of him and we can get someone in
  12. he had pace that frightened the oppostion, he had enthusiasm and he showed he had some trickery.Yes he got caught offside, but this is L1 and so we dont need Ronaldo, he may well be another threat to add to the side and perhaps will help free up some space for lambert who is getting little help from his other strike partner.
  13. i dont llike to know there is trouble, but if you go to another city and start giving it the big one, Im sorry you get what you deserve. The majority of Yeovil fans would have gone to the game and not been invovled in this the same with Saints fans. lets keep this in perspective.Im sure similar incidents happen in every town most weekends where lads who big themselves up get a punch.

the spend on buildings is a bit misleading is it not? I was under the impression the private sector build them and then charge massive fees in repayments. Therefore the cost of the NHS is really a bit shrouded because the liabilites are spread over a longterm. That if added to the actual cost to us would be even greater. As I sya the NHS should never not be there for all entitled people but it should not be out of control.
  15. good luck and have a great day, as you realise it is all downhill from there.I have been married for 26years by the way
  16. can I quickly clear up that a 6x is a beer not some weird tryst

and so the doubling of the cost of the NHS has gone where? if we are getting all these savings in real terms the cost and increase in spending is more! It gets worse.
  18. Can I ask are muslims allowed to join or is it only for all others? This type of thing is more likely to make them more militant than not.If muslims feel margianalised by the wider populaion they may well move to safety in numbers and join in with their friends. Iam right wing in a lot of things but this seems a odd group. Surely we pay taxes for us to be defended and so it is already sorted surely?
  19. bringing up SCW is all part of our past and causes divisions. Personally I doubt his appointment made a jot of difference to our ability to sign players. It is very interesting that in the year HR was with us, he all of a sudden had a terrible inability tosign anyone.Could it have been he wasnt given a free reign like he was at other clubs abd the incentives he got in buying were not there under a more rigid run system we had. Yes now in hindsight we should have done a Pompey had a team of all stars costing us millions had a cup win and then gone to the wall. It happened anyway.
  20. is it 150 behind their score ie 289?

yep all those people in jobs that are paid for by new national debt. No wealth creating of course to pay for it. No wonder we have a trade balance that makes me wince. Give them more money so we can import more and get us deeper in the mire. How it would mean less taxes lord knows, the more the nation borrows the more taxes we pay.If only it was so easy.

They've been doing that for the last 10 years.

Well that is a stupid practice. There is no incentive to save if you are penalised the following year. The natural instinct is to spend up to budget so you dont have less the next year.I remeber when a schoolkid the staff rushing around to spend any budget left so they didnt have less the following year.Even as a 10 year old that seemed ridiculous.
  24. LM a hero to me until he walked. Since then has not been my favourite.I do agree he spent a good time here and so that should be commended.Istill didnt like him going though.

The question you put was obvious, of course you need staff, but IMO there are too many. Lots of businesses in the private sector are shedding jobs due to having to.The companies staff take on extra tasks and accept that is what is needed.Only the sucurity of the government increasing the budgets allows for the excess in not only the NHS but the civil service etc. Id love to know that whatever i did Id get an index linked budget and some to play around with and no doubt would end up being overstaffed as well.
