I expect there was a time limit to do so.The club at that time probably didnt have the money .
-
what is that got to do with saints DD?
-
the integrity of the sport is lost forever. Is expect the PL are starting to look a little worried that Brcelona and Real are taking the worlds best players and soon the PL will be playing catch up. No doubt were we in the PL we wouldnt be too worried at the plight of others. I was talking with firends of other clubs at the week end and it came apparent that if you were a s/t holder at Man U there are probably only 4-5 games that they would look forward to each season. Even to me the thought of Wigan , Pompey(wigan of the south, apart from being a derby) Bolton, Hull etc hardly inspires, so how do the Man u , Liverpool fans etc feel. Too many bit part clubs in that league (that would include us if we were there of course)
-
they should make their kits skin colour as they always take them off anyway.
-
thanks Andy, that really must have taken time. Can you see one thing in the list as it reads down? A massive decrease in his runs, take out the first 4 against a poor WI attack and Sri lanka and then you dont have such a great player.I still believe it is a terrible error not having Foster but i hope Im wrong.I dont believe Prior will get many against the Aussies and his 2nd level keeping will cost us more than he gets with the bat.

Ginge, I can sense you have ultimate faith in MLT. it is his presence that has kept many from asking very serious questions. Had he not been the face of this bid I doubt that you and many others would be so gracious (I could be wrong, you may be very trusting) Duncan gets to hear a lot more than most and if he believes that MLT had not met the money people and has only gone on hearsay then that should be a worry should it not.Duncan is not always right but he like myself and others do worrry that our club may fall again into the wrong hands. It may come out that the money is in fact some offshore company that is Cayman islands where we wont know who owns it (although GM will have a right good go) Perhaps our worries are ill founded but MLT can be duped like the best of us, was he not tied up into something selling the fans a year or so ago that seemed a bit of a bad deal?? Im not sure it ever went ahead, I think it was a seminar at SMS ?? TL stated that the wages etc will be met thursday, if that is the case it is job done.

well my info is that the squad were very relaxed and happy yesterday. -
I havent read through all the posts on here, but when i watched the late local news at 10.30 ish last night the presenter said that TL had said that they will pay the money due this week.If that is confirmed it is worries over.
-
the original statement was in the echo ? today

I think it is too easy to write Pinnacle off.Im 90% certain that they will go forward, although Frys comments that he is now talking to others is brinkmanship or he is losing patinence as well. Not that I have time for Fry
-
no just remember it was not always bad. Even under MW we had the play offs
-
He means MLT would know who is puting the money up and so that should also be reassuring.Ginge likes to be vague.
-
Didnt go to Cardiff then Stanley, but I like trifle, but not like this latest one.
-
That is valid, but read Phils post I cut and pasted earlier about Pinnacle moving before the money man was fully on board , which may explain why LC paid the deposit. I think that was a surprise to us all was it not.
-
I have faith that people like the Farmer and others who are keen saints fans would not put us through this on a whim. MJ and the people I met with him are saints fans and they also wouldnt wish to do the same. Pinnacle Iam told will go forward but it is now time for them to deliver.I dont want to offend but this talk is doing my head in
-
lets not go over it all again, about the overdraft being reduced etc blah blah blah.
-
well Stanley if that is the case and I believe him why not put pen to paper today? Nothing like the present. I agree with Ginge that there are drama queens on here and no doubt he was meaning me, lol. I have met lots of people who dont worry and wait for things to come right in the end, most I see in the 'bankruptcy'pages of the Echo
-
probably a good assessment, although after meeting him twice I dont think that is fair
-
Wade RL would have put us in to administration before if he knew that Barclays would pull hte plug.In facrt he would have sold any player in jan had he had any idea of that happening. He would have done that to save his skin and money.

the only cat you'd have is the one of nine tails to whip your sailor boyfriends with.
-
Im not saying he's poor and dont care if he is but if you showed Marc jacksons office as those and he was the front i doubt he'd get the slack others were giving Pinnacle. It is MLT's presence that makes the difference. All these things are perception, and the perception perhaps fairly unfairly would be of smalltime. No offence to the people intended of course
-
I have had a quick chat with a friend at the club and was very confident it is going ahead soon.I asked if that was down to TL's statement and was told no. All very relaxed about things, surprising as its their living
-
I think it has been widely stated that TL was irish. First time I had heard Steels name, and i thought it said 4 years but could be wrong.Showing their office in a shared building put it into perspective of not being a massive operation, if was from another person spoken about on here it would be really scoffed at. Saying all that i still have faith in them as MLT would NOT do anything to risk the club he cares for. Time for brinkmanship is over, the FL hold the cards for our survival and the fans are behind the new people so they are quids in as they made the lesture and we should be happy by that.
