the only cream your team had was when the ref took it in turns with you post match.
-
You'd have been about 18 at the time then
-
thanks for that, it would be the last thing that went through my head apart from the seat in front of me of course.
-
I was always stuck between a rock and hardplace. RL was in my eyes not satan but not god either and so I looked at it differently form people who thought nothing would be good unless he was gone.

I dont know who yo will stalk while im away for a few days Ginge
-
That is how i see it. That is perhaps why i get so pent up about our club, I xcan't see it being anything different than that.

I suspect the security will be stepped up big time you dont get many airliners fall out of the air over the atlantic.I think it is the first time since Lockerbie (I know that was not over the atlantic)

So you are saying that if the 5000 had turned up we would have gone bankrupt or into administration.I dont understand the arguement.

yeah and they were sick on me. Lol

I doubt at 9 weeks old she would be able to answer,I bet her stories of the night must have been interesting.

oh my god Im flying to NY on wednesday, having already had an emergency landing due to an engine fire these things do unsettle me.

I take the position I feel strong about on issues of players who are seen as rubbish and fans cant wait to sl## them off.Not pointing at you by the way. DMG is only 21 and scored 14+ goals in his first full season.Yes he missed sitters dont all forwards. He will learn from those and get better, and I want him to get better at our club and in time gain the benifits of him doing so not Notts Forest.

good post IMO

Now now Stanley that is not something that you can state categorically.

i wasn't trying to give reasons why not. I myself was going to buy tickets anyway, if RL had bought the club I may have had second thoughts but I know deep down i wouldnt turn my back on the club on that issue. There is a freshness at present but the longer it goes on where we dont know who is taking us on some of the excitement may be lost. i doubt we will get early bird prices this season and and pricing may become important.Something that shouldnt be an issue due to be saved but Im sure many will not renew unless prices are cut dramatically.I do hope this does not deter a buyer.
-
you're not
-
I personally didnt think it was to save the club but to show solidarity with it.To show prospective buyers what they were getting.I found it sad that there were more people who found it in them to march against the chairman than actually go to try and save the club. The Saintsaid funday was only £5 and you got a lot of entertainment for that.

the 5000 stayaways cost the club some time by starving it of revenue. MW decided things had got so bad under the board at the time HE decided to bring back RL. His mistake of ridding us of NP was the ultimate error added to the fact he kept with Jan too long. I think in the main the fanbase understood we had to get the club back in line financially but to come back and get rid of the man who the fans were behind was massive in the long run. RL will have a long time to rue that decision.Once it was done a lot of fans shrugged their shoulders and got on and supporte the young team, it was only when we couldnt win at home did the patience wear and the writing was on the wall. I hope the 5000 will return but I doubt they will until we get Pl football at L1 pricing.
-
so do you think 800k is going to buy Beckford as a replacement? The trouble is with us the grass is always greener on the other side.
-
but it shouldnt have mattered, even if it was charity dung collecting the fans I would have thought gone and done something. It was pitiful and embarrassing to see such low numbers turn out. I think we all were complacent that there would be a buyer and so didn't bother.

I suppose you spend hours chatting to Peter in Cobwebs in Northam road
