  1. Hi Phil I do hope your golf went well
  2. Well Fry at Barclays should be asked why he pulled the plug.Whilst their risks may have increased by letting us increase our overdraft a bit they may well now have a larger amount left in assets. Very few agree with me but it does not seem right the whole saga.
  3. Of course it is a nonstarter but I could live with it if Saints were no more.
  4. I dont think that is how you were putting it
  5. There are different classes of fans, the ones who can be bothered to go and the armchair ones.I am in the middle as I cant be arsed to put myself out to go to away games, you cant go to either due to geography.I feel for the fans at this time whose life is wrapped up in home and away and go all over the country to support us.
  6. That is a good way of putting it Mike, a play ground fued
  7. No I always thought it was down to success why people stayed away.I think the unrest also helped as the constant negativity made fans feel disallusioned. When was the last time fans really felt we were on the up? Only a few times in the last couple of decades, each and every time we were kicked in the teeth.Whether it be Alan Ball deserting us for Man c Hoddle to spurs WGS etc.Add to that the club selling our heroes and then not investing in quality. We have had a long run that has buffetted the fanbsae and now we have the precipice ahead
  8. I support Hampshire at cricket and have never had real hatred of Pompey. If there was no saints Id understand this in principle. I suggest there woud be real stick from both sides but the more braod minded fans from both areas would not worry, but there just wouldnt be enough of them.
  9. Its noot a normal business, it relies on stupidity from people like me who attatch themselves to it just because of the pride I have of my birthplace. It is ridiculous I do realise that
  10. Um of course you are right and Im feeling quite passionate today, even though I still am in denial that we will fold. Iam and have always been one of the poor fools who will accept dire stuff as I have SFC so deeplyingrained. Yes the fans do deserve a better quality of football .I dont put myself up as a great fan, I rarely go to away games, but I will defend the club against people who try and bring it down. The fans have not deserved any of the past so called leaders and the only good thing if we come out of administration will be they will all be gone.If we go throough this pain and any are still in the directors box i dont know what i will do
  11. Thanks Um wont of course hold you to it.Thanks for sharing
  12. Ahhhh, diddums. Starts pointing fingers then cannot hack it when others fight back... What ARE you going to do with your Saturday afternoons from now on ? [end quote] That is the type of thing that I was getting at.A sneer and jibe at fans who really are hurting whose life will be turned upside down. it wont effect you the same however much you protest it will
  13. your post makes me feel a bit better. You really should give us more updates how you view Frys mindset.Afterall you all are like a bag of snakes (kidding..kind of) and we need to view it from your perspective
  14. Nonsense, avoiding administration could have been achieved if the whole of the fanbase could have forgotten their predudice and attended. That would have meant accepting poor football and perhaps bad results, it would also have meant the galling dssight of Lowe but in time the gate receipts would have helped build us .This is not a defrence of |Lowe or attack on fans.It is a statement as i see it. The product is not an excuse of not turning up IMO
  15. well if you dont find people wallowing with delight that the club may be fiinished then I question your mindset. It at present looks as though the -10 could be -25 or even worse no club.Fans who wouildnt turn up due to bad performances have seen nothing yet and they sure wont return as they cant stomach the bad days and only want the up side. I myself will pay for 2 s/ts whatever league we are in, and if I have to pay CCC prices to help reserrect our club by doing so be it.SFC has given me some terrible days and some unbelievable highs but I want something left for my grandchildren.Hence why Im so defensive when I read some of the negative posters oh here who would rather see the club fail than have to pay or make an effort I
  16. If these supermen had not changed our foirtunes they still wouldnt have gone to games .High wages dont make guarenteed success.
  17. or Fry has not been effective in giving the go ahead for the bid he had a few weeks ago.At least he would had something to either reject or go forward with
  18. and the 30k a week extra was going to come from??? We were struggling to cut our overdraft as it was
  19. that is pathetic
  20. and to get back to somewhere in football in the future we will have to pay higher than our peers to go back up.
  21. People have been complacent and it is not over b ut I do think Fry did not act when he had a bid.Ok he had to do what was best for the creditors but at present that does not seem to be the case unless he has had a massive offer for the stadium
  22. Like the Frost agvyn Davies bid all those years ago it was all talk I think you will find
  23. Im in denial that we could fold but for every fan,, I doubt any really thought we might. Yes many argued that going into admin was the worst case, while others gloried in the thought of RL etc losing their money but in the end whatever side of the fence you are on we ALL are potentially going to be the biggest losers
  24. Oh, I hadnt thought of that, make a good hockey pitch and clay pigeon shooting venue as well.RL's plan all along
