  1. um I could not believe that when I heard him say it last night.I looked at the bench and saw we had nothing there. i am right behind the policy the club is trying but the manager is making too many foolish calls.
  2. No doubt they do, but that does not answer the manufacture and delivery of the fencing. Their carbon footprint during todays event would be mind boggling. The transportation, the movement of police and security let alone their own movements. I like to buy home produce but of course I dont have the luxury of working on a nice fat government contract.....smiley thingy
  3. I expect all those fences used were walked from the factory straight to Stanstead. The furnaces used to make them were used by eco not polluting fuels and the 50 odd people walked from their homes in middle England. It is a typical protest by comfy middle class people who have nothing better to complain about. 'Our parents generation have lket us down' it was said by one of the spotty oiks. Well their parents generation spent most of the time trying to carve a comfortable living for these people to live off.I suspect most go on foreign holidays and dont check how their veg and fruit is transported across to be fresh. ie Prawns from Indonisia. (not that Im for the food being airlifted for our evening grub)

I think we are jumping the gun. In a usual set up he would have played only a few part appearances so he could find his feet. Once he gets a run of goals he will gain cionfidence and perhaps blossom
  5. Ohhhhh, your judgement is good after all
  6. DD behave, how many goals did we score in the firsdt 20 games?
  7. DD no Im not but he is not the tyoe of forward i imagine when fans talk about getting to the byeline and crossing.
  8. SJ is not a battering ram of a forward..I will point out his double miss on saturday for BC.
  9. Behave, I dont come on here pointing out your poor judgement and so give me some slack on my spelling.I know it is not good, so bad in fact that the Guardian is headhunting me to be editor.

Doyle and the others you mention are so much older and experienced. DMG is the man who has been saddled with leading the line, that is a lot to take on for a young lad.It is not as though he has an old head alongside him to guide him through it.
  11. that is more pertinent, we dont have a big centre forward who knocks everyone out of the way to get to the ball
  12. I hope its from Stanstead
  13. I dont know because Im not behind the scenes and seeing what is really going on. I thought you had gone to sunny climbs
  14. To be fair when was the last time we had a team that got to the byeline, under WGS fabrice would cross from 20yards out.I cant think of a winger since Paine who regularily got to the bye line, and if you look at the top teams do so either.
  15. It is good that Jan will speak honestly and openly. As for being cute and commercially savvy that is a different thing. The chairman /club have a rseponsibility to to everyone from shareholders to the fans to make sure a statement by one of its employees does not cost us as a club/business as in make it look as though we need money and so that in turnmakes our bargaining position weaker. That is why i believe that financial questions were off limit. Not everyoe understands the politics of these things and also where Jan speaks his mind would suggest to me he is not RL's lapdog like some like to make out.
  16. Snodin didnt do much to help WHU
  17. I ve seen them all and Channon and MLT (other youngssters who startedtheir careers here)used to get hammered by fans in their early days.
  18. Its amazing all the years of watching Saints we were always a soft touch away even in the good days..and now we are useful away!!!!!!
  19. oh I can edit as many as i like as Im a member, I have to wait now for your input for 24hrs...b####r
  20. do you get special treatment then? Pay your fiver so you can wax lyrical about the Lazio game
  21. I was only answering teh thread as i see it.I do know that there will now be a load of abuse, but there you go. As I say a poor bunch.NP would be close only for the reason the fans were united by him, but I for 1 am not convinced by his tenure. Had HR stayed and the fans kept behind him I suspect he would now have us back in the PL.
  22. that post is not to me I know but the Reading game is not the only game where we have played well. For me we havent accumalated our fair share of points.A young team that is foming. The manager has to wise up quickly and put on experience to close the games out, for me I would have put on Wotton not Gillette or both and taken off perhaps AL as he is not a tackler, although he odes hold the ball well.
  23. out of a poor bunch it would be GB.He at least got us to the play offs but none have shone in any glory.
  24. IM Not saying he will be as good as shearer but i am happy to stand by my prediction he will become a good player.
  25. that is correct and I hope he gets back soon
