  1. Thers no shame in returning CE, come back and watch the team representing us fans. It is not the chairmans team it is our team and when fans understand it is not Lowe who is playing we may all gain from fans returning. I myself vowed never to go again if Gh had returned, how long Id have kept to it I could never say. Come back and see something that may be the start of our renaissance (im not saying winning against MU) the spirit of our youth giving us something to feel some connection with again. I have yet to go to a game supporting or wishing to see any chairman and so we need to get over it.
  2. I disagree, get a bumper pay out, a draw and replay at OT then go out so the kids are not too washed out for the league.
  3. wouldnt know what he looks like.
  4. all those 'wont go if RL is threre' wont be able to go and so I odubt we'll get a full house.
  5. Went and watched them yesterday and saw a bizarre goal. The York keeper under pressure sliced a back pass back towards his goal for an easy tap in. Salisbury were a bit long ball but have been decimated by having to offload players due to finances.A new signing came on up front(Webb) for the last 10 minutes and he was strong mobile and aggressive he may have a decnt future. The only creative player they had was Sinclair but he had no movement from his forwards to utilise his passing. York always looked dangerous and got a deserved equaliser 7 minutes from time. Only 980 people there!! Saw Saints hats and scarfs on a couple and heard fans talking about us as well, so must get a faor sprinkling of Saints fans there when we are away.
  6. Diggers you know more than most, is the foundation a case of keeping their assets in place after the credit crunch or the money people coming in having their funds secured?
  7. Where does it say that RL asked for the picture to be taken down? I dont see a big problem ,but I do think it is nice that we have respected Doncasters invitation to play in their ground and them sending a picture in thanks. I do see why fans are jumping to conclusions and perhaps it has been done in spite but it is nonsense as i doubt LM has any pitures of the directors up in his office.
  8. If you have read some of Winmills posts in the past you'd realise he was serious. Even Happier to help
  9. Killer ,Wright and steele or Nichol
  10. That is an interesting thing, but if we went for it and the goals still ddint come we may put ourselves in an untenable postion and perhaps a minus 10 point deduction.I have the position that if we dont go into administration however it is done means we have earnt 10 points.
  11. Well lets put money on your prediction. Are you ready to put your money on that statement.
  12. I agree, I was 1 who championed his signing and I know he loves it here but finance must play a part in his omission.May Iadd he has been less than clinical when he has played. The lack of games is not always a good excuse if you are a goalscorer.
  13. I can see both sides of the debate , surely you must realise we'd all love the 'star' players turning out for us but needs must and a club losing so much money has little if any room to manouvere. One of those players back in the team may be beyond our budget.
  14. but Arizona the question is about scoring goals and all due respect Saga did not do so under NP
  15. A friend knows a fringe player who plays for Luton. If he gets on the pitch even if it is for a couple of minutes he gets £500, can you imagine what our much valued high earners would be on apearance money.
  16. has the club got a picture of you then
  17. Yorkie, that is sad, i dont understand your position as you have supported us for years and to let politics deprive you of your pastime. When did you decide not to go under RL?
  18. what is the saying about trying to play an organ in a cathedral
  19. Im glad they have given it back to LM and that it was not disrespected. I have always wished that there was some suite etc named after him but it is all internal politics and it is obvious RL and Lm dont get on.We have to accept it is the biardroom and I doubt if any of us would ever have know it was there or had the opportunity to see it anyway.
  20. Thanks for that Um, he made my blood boil and to be fair to LM he really made him look the p#### he was
  21. All ive heard about Jan is that he is a great bloke and very down to earth. I understand StM being cynical but I doubt RL would wish for the club to pay overtime for his staff to go and converse with the 'flatcaps'
  22. well we do like to celebrate things with style. The Adams family were out in force last night.
  23. No problem at all. It sounds quite relaxing.
  24. I think it is conveinient as the club like all other retailers are hurting.they would have had to cut prices anyway and so this may take up some of that cut.
  25. I will refrain from sniping back on your first childish response. I do not support everything Rl does and says. I just look at it how I feel. I have been going since 1968 in that long period i had my hopes raised on many occasions about getting a stadium. Under, some what seem great chairman, they never came up with the goods in fact they held us back when LM was doing wonderful things and we could well have won the league had they stumped up for Trevor Francis in the season we finished 2nd. RL was our chairman when by hook or by crook (I dont care who) he got it done. It matters not 1 iota to me who put what where, but he at least signed it off with whoever. Yes Stoneham may have been good but if the running track was inside the stadium, which for cost it probably would be, that would have made a difference to my pastime as the pitch would be father away and the atmosphere lessened. I dont go ten pin bowling and don't see why other sports should be levered into a bigger sports facilities. The shopping aspect I would have stomached as i would see that as being something that the profits/rents would have made the club healthier. As for stomping away, well perhaps they did i suspect dealing with a load of Liberals who didnt know international cricket was going to be played at the Rose bowl that they didnt object to. They couldnt see that it would have made a big difference to Eastleigh in regeneration and have shopping centres that people might actually want to visit. Tell me how much better Eastleigh is now compared to then and I will say it has gone backwards as a centre and the residents have lost out, mainly due to a few who scared them by telling thewm that football thugs would be running through their streets. I put on here as i see it and would listen if the opposing people understood that just because people understand some of what RL does that it doesnt mean we love him.
