  1. I have also got to say, and I have said it in the past, that I don't think Lowe would, in the long run, allow this tbh as the egotistic c u next tuesday wouldn't want to blow his nest egg. He is thinking long term, as a business man, and he is enjoying rubbing our noses in the **** along the way no doubt. I think that we just need to see how JP pans out as he is all we got, and a old fashoned hard nose would just bring in a number of also rans again that we couldn't afford. And whose to say they would even want the job. We who watched the football recently say that we enjoy it as, unlike teams recently, the ones playing for us are AT LEAST TRYING, and you can see that from the way they continue to play when their backs are against the wall, as they did on sunday. And for once the popular press and Dowie agreed. They don't need their legs cut from beneath them from the likes of us.
  2. **** it. Sack the manager, sack the board, don't play the youngsters but get ANY loan player in as quick as possible. Then repeat in 3 month. Then repeat in 3 months. Then repaet in 3 months. As this has worked in the past.
  3. I hope we sign Daryl Bluejacket. Oi Oi Savaloy
  4. I agree here as well.
  5. I aint going down the road again as I started a thread about this, but come on, lets give it a bloody chance shall we. I saw, on Sunday, a team losing 4-1 and the last attack was from us. They didn't give up. We lost, but all I could do was think, 'What a shame', not 'You ****ing bunch of stupid, lazy, over paid bunch of lazy useless ****.' I even gave Kelvin some credit.
  6. I've just had a bit of a scary thing. I'm Anti-Lowe I've posted My dog has just had to have an emergency operation at the Vets. If I was a Pro-Lowe, i'd be keeping my head down.
  7. She was as well!!!!!!! I don't know what she was doing out of the kitchen. Point taken. Edit Done.
  8. And I am still liking your jib. This is the point I have tried to make. Losing hurts, but less so because you can see the team cares. Age is irrelevant, but caring matters, and it just happens to be that some happen to be youngsters due to the simple fact that they have been here for years and have come through the ranks. There may been ex-saints out there that have moved on and look at the team and wish they could be part of that when they were here but the situation made them become mercenary. I amn sure there are still some, like Le Tiss and Franny, who would welcome a home. I still would like to win though.
  9. Thanks Wes. I think we are of the same mind. I want promotion too as that is where the future has to be and I don't want relegation or administration. I just hope that if JP starts a few of the old hands, Like Wooten and John, with the spirit the youngsters have we can do just enough to stay here for now, but have something to build on next season, or even just enough to get in the top six. But as Lao-Tsu once said, 'A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.' And I like the step we have taken. ( and before anyone starts shouting out that Confucius said it, trust me he didn't.)
  10. Yes I would as my intention was to generate a lively debate and try and express what my emotions were, but had trouble coming up with the words that would do justice to the emotion I am trying to convey. and I just can't bring myself to say 'Lets get behind the team, woot, COYR.' I would not say it was over the top or lacking perspective as when we lost last year i was quite annoyed at times with the team and managment and would shout and swear and curse. We lost on Sunday and I actually said, 'What a ****ing shame, at least they played their hearts out and tried'. Did anyone say that last year in Honesty? We can all say we were unlucky at times, but I enjoy watching them now, because they are really playing for something. We have had the journeymen, and still have a number as well who have not played with the passion you would expect from them. Rudi seemed to before he came, Sag in the first season, even BWP and II. You can blame the manager but only to a certain extent. That would be nice as long as the older heads don't influence the younger ones, and that I what I would like also. Wes I enjoyed your answer and have taken the time to respond, but your last sentance in bold comes in the 'Well,Duh' as no one would want that, especially me, and I don't understand the point being made here. I just want to say that I am hopeful with what I have seen and I am willing to give just a little more time, (Get thee behind me, 'Gelling' statement), in the hope that, as others have pointed out, the wrinkles can be ironed out. Finally, lets try and stamp out the New Season, New Team, New Manager, New Board merry-go-round that we are on.
  11. As he said. i like the cut of your jib.
  12. The Dunkirk spirit was a feeling that even with our back against the wall, and nothing to look forward to, we kept going on. We didn't give in. We didn't shout and boo at the troops coming back from France and we didn't give up during the Blitz. This is my point for you with limited intelligence. Lets not shout and bawl at a team that keeps going even when 4-1 down. Oh, and for those that say, 'I want to see us win every week in the premiership,' may I just say, 'Well, Duh!!! and please wipe the spittkle from your chin' The expression 'No ****, Shurlock' also springs to mind.
  13. And every time a pro-Lowe poster posts makes the baby Jesus Cry!!!! We just cant win
  14. 1. Because I didn't want to just hide it away, I wanted to start a debate before the 'boo boys' got involved. 2. Did I not make the statement that I couldn't beleve I was invoking the Dunkirk spirit. Now please answer the following 1. How is this a constructive?
  15. That I have always maintained, wether it be Saints or the England team, that I would prefer to see a bunch of kids work their socks off for 90 minutes, and lose, that a bunch of over paid, over hyped over aged prima donnas just go through the motions. ANd win or lose I just have to say that this is what I saw last night. I don't like losing. I don't want us to continue how we are at the moment. I have grave concerns as well. But, I am man enough to say that the team are what I asked for, and I am very proud of them in not giving up yesterday, as they kept moving and pushing. It must be starting to affect their confidence at the moment. But I for one will not boo and crucify them for what they have done so far, as they are playing their hearts out at the moment. I think they are a better team than that we had last year, to be fair. And I hope that if I manage to not undermine them when they are playing, they will come right again and start winning a few. Just a little analogy for you who will look to shoot me down. Western Europe invaded and over run. Outnumbered in the Air 2 to 1. Outnumbered on the ground 3 to 1. A little Island stood alone against this and when any other nation would have said 'We give in, please don't hurt us!' actually stood and said, 'Ah, **** it. Come and have a go.' After transferring in a few loan signings from the commonwealth, didn't do too bad in the end. I just had to say it, that's all. There is nothing wrong in trying your best and never giving up, even if you don't succeed. Now please discuss using cogent, well thought out constructive statements, especially where I am envoking the 'Dunkirk' spirit, as I can't believe I am doing it either.
  16. I think that Jan should concentrate or sorting out what we do up the other end. We can't afford to let in goals, but if we can just finish a bit more clinically we could at least outscore the opposition. Give SJ a start. Give Rudi a kick up the arse and bring him down to earth and tell him that NO-ONE wants him, only us, and if he wants to continue with his career, especially internationally, he needs to be on the bigger stage and SHOW what he can do.
  17. I think we got quite a good report from Sky, for a change. They said that the team played well, and that they did well for an hour with only 10 men. They said that the second goal was definitely offside. Their points agreed with me 100 %, which I have never been able to say before when watching a Sky match, that we played very well, we lack the decisive finishing in from of the goal, and the defence need sorting. We also need someone on the pitch, with a cooler head, to calm down the youngsters when they start getting a tad red-eyed.
  18. Got to agree, it'll be Saints to score in the first 10 mins, then QPR just before the break, then QPR again on 70 mins against a run of play. Then Saints will outplay them again with 12 shots on target but hit the woodwork and saves. There will also be a cracking goal from distance at a Saints corner by spiderman which will be ruled off-side. McGoldrick will get a yellow card for arguing with the ref. I also see Theo being hailed the saviour of English football and failing to score in the next to games. I'm mystic mogg, thanks for coming and keep watching the sky, where you'll see all the stars shine.
  19. I don't agree. I think they just need a bit of time that is all, with a few older heads to keep them grounded. I do agree that maybe we should start John though, as with bringing hiom on l,ate in the second half doesn't give him time to step his game up, I feel.
  20. I always found 69 to be a mouthfull.
  21. I have got to agree slightly as when i used to log on after works, there used to be a page of items that I had not seen. Now it's a couple of new ones and a few from the past that someone has just added a single post too. We need to set up a rota so that we can all take a turn at trolling to just get the debates going. I am only joking, of course. Perhaps it is because people have become more settled. We can't have a go at Lowes return, as he is already back, we can't winge about the team, as it is what it is and it seems settled a bit more, we can't winge at the manager as he is a completly different flavour from GB and it is too early to judge. The takeover has died a death for the time being. no one is speaking about us to any extent. No one wants relegation. There is an international break at the moment. So what is there to talk about?
