  1. Look, Lowe has made a decision, or indecision in my opinion, so lets get on with it. A win at Norwich and a win home to Swansea just might change the mood temporarily although I think we will be lucky to gain 1 point. Lowe is not likey to rid us of this present coaching system or personnel this side of relegation. Or will he have the balls to act swiftly if we lose on Tuesday? He had his chance today and blew it so I think not.

  3. JAN Poortvliet came through this morning's crunch meeting at Saints unscathed and in a fighting mood. The head coach met with PLC chairman Rupert Lowe and the Saints players at Staplewood, in a bid to help find a solution to the club's dismal home form. The meeting was called in the wake of Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Doncaster. The pressure on Poortvliet increased following the home loss against the relegation rivals and there was speculation his job could be at risk. The Dutchman said he was well aware of that, but believed minds had been sharpened as a result of the talks. "I think it was great this morning," he said. "Everyone talked, it was good and the boys know what to do. He added: "I think we have to work even harder, because I think it's a fight."
  4. Alan Woodford did a good job too
  5. Looks like I was right No news is bad news. Echo sensationalising a normal get together?
  6. What if it was another who flew the coup on Saturday!!
  7. Lowe will meet the coaches and then address the players. He will no doubt continue to endorse the "Dutch" way and perhaps give Wotte a more prominent role as joint head coach with JP. He will site our financial position as being a major factor but will tell the players he will keep faith with their undoubted talent and continue to support their development. That is my take on the meeting today without any inside or outside knowledge. Hope I am wrong though!
  8. Aviva HO is in London. They are not a French Company The three main offices are London (Ex Commercial Union HO), Norwich (Ex Norwich Union HO) and Perth (Ex General Accident HO). I should know, I worked for GA, merged with CU to form CGU and merged with NU with Aviva becoming the holding company name thereafter.

  10. Perception Mark, nothing more.
  11. Perception Mark, nothing more.
  12. A winding up order with a hearing date as you suggest would surely be in the public domain by now. The club are in financial difficulty and Administration is still an option but I have not heard it is a certainty yet.
  13. Would not blame them. In fact Drew Surman is getting in a rut. He is not developing in my opinion and needs a challenge to take him to the next level. He won't get it with kids around him. Lallana is in a different situation. He needs games at present but also a coach to give/teach him more discipline in his positioning and his movement in the final 3rd of the pitch. Not worried he is not scoring much but I am worried he is not getting many assists either although it was a peach of a pass to Saganowski to score on Saturday
  14. Only reporting what I was told Mike. I have no reason to disbelieve what I was told. I expect he was pretty upset with Wilde doing a disappearing act but I did not ask that question
  15. I have just received a phone call from someone who reads this forum and spoketo to Andrew Cowen after the game. What he said was directed at the the crowd but he was very frustrated at the time. The way the supporters turned and started fighting was a major shock to him and totally unexpected, hense the lack of police for the game.
  16. It is a bit more than that a month
  17. I was told from sources close to Crouch that he had written a letter and I can confirm, from sources close to the board that a letter was received, considered and rejected.
  18. Mick, what makes you think there are people out there ready to buy Lowe and Wildes shares. Why would they take the risk? There are bound to be vultures out there waiting for the club to die but remember what vultures do. They pick at the remains and leave an empty shell.
  19. Administration is not a plan Rob, it is a disaster. We must avoid that at all costs in my opinion.
  20. I think you will find it will be Hampshire Police monitoring not Rupert Lowe. The club have always monitored this site and so they should. It is a feedback tool. As for the post from Baj, quite right, the reminder of the rules to all when emotions are high is timely and necessary.
  21. I had been receiving some criticism from some respected posters on here over the weekend for my attitude to what is going on so my opening post on here was prompted by that and only took about 10 minutes of thought to put it down on paper. We have, what I consider, a stagnant Saints Trust at present and posters from that committee on this forum. There are better minds than me out there and with a bit more thought I am sure my ideas could be expanded and made into a workable document. As many have posted on this thread it may be unworkable/unsucessful and time is of the essence. My post was to stimulate thought, debate and ideas without going down the militant path which will not gain support apart from a tiny minority and alienate the supporter base even more than it is now. My idea was not for the "new regime" to bring in their own monetary investment, that is not likely, but to work within the financial parameters in place at present and invest their skills and time to stabilise and take our club forward. Short term? Is there really any short term action that will be EFFECTIVE in deposing Lowe? What then? There MUST be a workable and effective plan in place for when he does "step down"
  22. Thanks Tris, appreciate your response.
  23. But they have to want to come in first. They need to be approached. As for Askham, Richards and Withers, if thay have not changed their views now they need to be given evidence that there is someone who can do it better. HaHa could anyone do it worse I hear you laugh. Well they still seem to need convincing. And it has to be through lawfull means. Mob rule will not work
  24. Ah the 4 legs good two legs bad.....but for how long
  25. I have started a new thread on this as it is not appropriate on the Cowen one.
