  1. Peaceful demonstrations are the cornerstone of democracy. Be safe, avoid disrupting those on lawful business or visit, listen to police advice and act accordingly. An opportunity of sending an important message, don't mess it up. Good luck.
  2. Bloody hell, you are out of touch aren't you. Safri went....John is out of contract at the end of the season, Thomas has a long term injury
  3. Hope all goes well Mark.
  4. Just to try to put the record straight on Skacel earnings. He was not on £16,000 a week but nearer to half that. One of the problems was that he was on £1,000 a game appearance bonus. Was he any good? Not up to our expectations but an OK player in the Championship. Was he worth his wages and appearance money? Not in my opinion. Was he badly treated by the club? Most certainly. Will he go? I doubt it. Who would want to pay his wage demands?

    Wilde

Wilde lost the trust of those who supported him, affirmed the lack of trust some had of him when he first appeared on the scene. Those who were not sure have no doubt fallen into the non trust camp. Yes he appears universally mistrusted by supporters.
  6. Good pick. I would leave McLaggon on the bench though. We need to introduce him carefully and selectively. So I would put Euell on the right and Lallana in the middle. Surman on the left is not his best position but he might be a bit more disciplined than the others to remain out wide and support Molyneau
  7. No one will want him....he stays.
  8. I am prepared to give Wotte a chance now he has been appointed as Head Coach and he is certainly spinning his way this week. Will we avoid relegation? I doubt it. I think the damage has already been done. Our next two home games might give us a clue.
  9. In my early days, late 60's, we all packed to Milton Road End and the away support was at the Archers Road. There was a fantastic atmosphere, particularly when there was a heavy away support. Admit at that time it was mostly terrace standing which does make a difference and we often had 25,000 - 30,000 in the ground. Nowhere near the same atmosphere now.
  10. I take issue with the Rasiak/Skacel loans being a deliberate attempt to reduce the wage bill. Rasiak was looking to move to enhance his chances of being included in the Poland Squad for the Europeans. Bolton came in with a loan offer we could not refuse according to Hoos. They were not actively looking to ship him out from the way it looks. Hoos asked Skacel if he was happy with Saints and he confirmed he was. Hoos then said he was disapointed Skacel changed his mind and asked for the loan move. However Davies was already on loan with a buy option when Crouch came back to power. All Crouch did was exercise that option on what, at that time, appreaed a good buy. He had a previous injury history but looked to have got over it. Just our's and Crouch's luck...he gets a long term injury again! Crouch was looking to cut costs and I am informed Deloittes and some of Crouch's advisors had drawn up a survival document that Barclays seemed to approve. Whether it would have worked is debatable. I wonder how much of Lowes strategy was based on that document. A fair bit I suspect. Closing the corners was certainly one of them. Getting rid of Pearson certainly was not!
  11. Sorry but the answer is no. To many confidences and promises to my sources.
  12. Yes, got mine on Monday.
  13. One worry about all this is that with so many Swansea fans arriving in the city I can see trouble. Police will have their work cut out
  14. I assume the Northam home fans area ie season ticket holders will still have their normal seats. It is just the Away area is how I read it. I put it up in case fans no on thedata base roll up for a ticket after the protest.

  16. I suspect he was pushed into resigning with a mutually agreed payoff. No evidence, no inside information, just a feeling I think many share.
  17. I was told recently there was never any love between Poortvliet and Wotte. It was suggested Wotte was not happy to see Poortvliet brought in above him at the time.
  18. BBC comment about Saints first half.....CLUELESS!!!
  19. Euell is on the subs bench tonight
  20. Well if the Administrator could pay off or restructure all the debts and the company was a going concern it would return to the shareholders after the Administator had taken his fat fee. That is very unlikely. So he sells the company to someone. It would not be a plc but there is nothing to stop the new owner being a plc or selling shares in the company on the open market. That would be my understanding but I have limited knowledge on the subject
  21. Shares are suspended the moment an Administrator is appointed
  22. Agree plc is causing us a problem but just imagine if there was no accountability and Lowe and Wilde could do what they like.....Oh they are aren't they
  23. Why are you so bloody rude all the time!
  24. Whatever is put into SLH by way of a loan is risky. Crouch does not have the sort of money to gamble £6m but he is prepared to risk £2m. However, quite rightly he expects the other two to take a gamble as well and they, for whatever reason, are not prepared to. To suggest that if he puts the £6m in and they will stand down is a cheap shot. They know he cannot and even if he did they still have their shares. Crouch takes all the risks. If the club sinks, well it is close to that now anyway and may be a very good reason why Lowe and Wilde do not want to gamble further. If it floats and goes on to better things they gain in any share price recovery without the risks. Some may say they should sell their shares if Crouch comes up with the £6m but to who? No one wants them. Crouch cannot buy them as it will take him past the magical 30% and leave him with nothing further to invest. He wants ALL available money to pay off the bank and try to take this club forward. Crouch cannot win. Lowe and Wilde hold all the aces at present. 9 out of 10 for trying but ours and Crouch's frustration as supporters of SFC just rolls on helplessly. I am fed up with it all. The sad thing is it is even straining good friendships built up on this forum. Let's hope the team can give us some cheer tonight.
  25. Must have missed that statement and nothing on the LSE site. Link?
