  1. OK let's see what happens. As I said it was only an informed opinion from the person I spoke to
  2. No he can play across the midfield. The suggestion last Saturday when I was at the ground was that Lallana would likely play on the left but it was an informed opinion at that time
  3. Expected Lallana to play on the left. Puncheon will play centre of midfield as the playmaker I am assuming
  4. Good team. Give my best to Henri and David
  5. We have Goldfinches, Greenfinches, Chaffinches, Robins, Blackbirds, Fieldfares, Starlings, Long Tailed Tits, Great Tits, Blue Tits, Carrion Crows (enjoying the snails), Magpies, Green Woodpecker, Greater Spotted Woodpecker and a Tawny Owl in the tree at night to name but a few.
  6. Have you actually watched them regularly? Perry has not has a bad game when he plays, he is intelligent, aware and, in the absence of our main two is the obvious choice. Jaidi I have already commented on.
  7. I like Jaidi, a no nonsense centre back who has done no wrong, but I think Pardew likes the fact that Seaborne has a natural left foot and brings balance to the defence. As you say Seaborne is not available for the JPT so I expect Jaidi will come in for that and for Pompey Jaidi & Perry would be my pairing.
  8. Agree, Lambert should start. As for Jaidi I am not sure he has been rested recently. I think he is a bench man with Fonte & Seaborne the preferred pairing from now on
  9. Absolutely agree. Pompey game is an insignificant pimple on the bum of Southampton Football Club. Still love to beat them and I will be there but if we lose, so what!
  10. So is this why Pompey dispute they do not owe Gaydamac?
  11. I suspect the starting line up will be Davis Otsemobor - Fonte - Seaborne - Harding Antonio - Schneiderlin - Puncheon - Lallana Lambert - Barnard
  12. Chainrai taken control now to make sure he can look at the books, the extent of the mess and then decide if Administration might be the only way before next Wednesday?
  13. What odds Murray setting Cortese up for Charity/Suchet issue. Murray knows the Echo is banned from SMS. What better way at getting at Cortese by turning up and making sure he maximises publicity over the ban. It is not beyond Murray from what I have heard.
  14. OK so Faraj and Jacob say default on both sides of the loan deal so Chainrai is not the real owner of Portsmouth. So Chainrai is a creditor just like HMRC. What a mess I fear when the Judge see's what is going on he will give an adjournment for the two disputing owners to sort themselves out. One good issue for me is Chainrai saying he does not want to retain ownership, just sort out the club and find an investor. Sorry but it seems to me he is acting like a self appointed Administrator without the power.
  15. It was a good report highlighting the dirt running through the Portsmouth boardroom in recent times. Anyway, since then http://www.pressassociation.com/component/pafeeds/2010/02/04/pompey_takeover_set_to_be_challenged?camefrom=sport-news Looks like the fake shake (spelling intentional) and his Jewish Lawyer is going to challenge. Plenty of icebergs still about
  16. Good post. I can relate to that and agree your interpretation.
  17. OK if you are comfortable with it, no problem.
  18. It breaks the rules.
  19. DPS I suggest you remove that name as you are breaking board rules.
  20. Assuming Chainrai gives financial stability to the FC in the short term I believe this will lead to stability on the field. Portsmouth are only 6 points from 17th place and looking at their recent performances I am convinced there are at least 3 teams worse thn them and I can see them surviving at the end of the season. To me the car crash was not as bad as we thought it would be. No more rubber necking from me. Time to get eyes back fully on Saints and enjoy the smooth and stable ride Leibherr & Cortese are giving us.
  21. Ladies & Gentlemen, Chainrai has just entered the Money Pit.
  22. Quite possible that Cortese knew Murray would react in the way he did. A shrewd cookie is our Mr Cortese.
  23. Not so. I have information from both camps via a friend. I am not going to disclose the goings on but I think Cortese was wrong in banning the echo but suspect from what I am told he was spoiling for a fight and to mark out his ground. I am led to believe Murray is known not to stand aside when faced with a threat or to apologise. His spat against Cortese in his editorial was unwise and silly. This is Cortese v Murray not SFC v Echo. It is stupid and unneccessary on both sides. Don't just blame the Echo I suspect Cortese will win the day in due course and the relationship between the sports reporters and football managment will resume thereafter. Will be wise for Murray to hold his counsel, let the dust settle and I am sure Cortese will agree to a meeting to "clear the air" in due time. Any further attacks on Cortese in the Echo will just play into his hands.
  24. No not drugs Most users ever online was 1,006, 24-01-2010 at 06:21 PM. Who says the FA Cup is dead
  25. Being in D1 we are unlikely to attract a sponsor for big money to make a difference BUT any sponsor will demand a profile and expect it's "pound of flesh" As we are celebrating 125 years it makes sense for the club to keep anyone like that out of our celebrations for that year. Let's hope Saints relaunch all their merchandise, not just the shirt, without a sponsor name in celebration. Net profit may well exceed what gain the club would get from sponsorship.
