  1. They might be playing us next season
  2. No, football is football.
  3. Agree. Time to cool it and concentrate on positives and football.
  4. Yep - lwe only beat Arsenal because they fielded a 'weak team of subs' (mostly international players)
  5. Pretty good. The standard of many blogs nowadays is so much better informed than most sports newspaper writings.
  6. This. Let's be positive. Saints to win!
  7. Koeman said Harry Redknapp is a successful manager with a lot of experience. 'I am not the person to look through the managerial history of Southampton; He is someone who I will respect, and everyone else should be respectful too'
  8. It's only a flesh wound.
  9. Don't get ahead of ourselves. We have to beat QPR first. Then the next team........
  10. It could be argued that Saints fans bigged Lallana up so much with the Messi chant that he believed he was too good for Saints. So it's our own fault for idolising him in the first place. I do agree that the 'Tadic makes Lallana look sh**e' is getting boring now (it might have been me that first suggested it) Time for a new one for Dusan.
  11. Well at lest we are at home in the Prem against Stoke a few days before. We need to destroy their moral with a thumping win then.

    Dusan Tadic

We'll have to wait till Liverpool buy him in January (but they might have shipped Adam out by then)
  13. I don't agree. Quite the contrary. You clearly know a few that I don't.
  14. I expect us to win, but I can't see Saints playing with the same intensity as they did last night. If players aren't slightly showing signs of tiredness Big Ron surely has been working miracles. I expect a well managed, paced game.
  15. As the ball came to Clyne the bloke next to me, with the loudest voice in the stadium, shouted 'SHOOT!" Clyne must have heard him! Wallop!
  16. Under strength? - Arsenal were packed with internationals made to look ordinary by the most in-form team in the Premiership. Rubbish. We would have beaten their 'best' last night. And no way was it 'only' a cup game. Both sides were intensely and furiously battling for pride in a full ground. We publicly humiliated them. Don't repeat the media jibes mate, excusing every team we beat..
  17. Tottenham at home please, please, please!
  18. What a night to be with fellow fans at the Emirates. I can't recall a more electric away atmosphere. For the first 15 minutes Arsenal were sharp - and truthfuly we weren't getting to the ball first, but they were over confident and the lads fought back superbly after falling behind from a superb free-kick. Tadic's goal was coming and we didn't look back. Mane is going to be one hell of a player this season. We have an awesome three pronged attack now, a solid defence (a special mention for Fonte's captaincy at the back) the best we've ever had, and midfield were well in control. And we held out till the end, unlike previous seasons. Last night healed years of hurt from cocky Arsenal! Briiliant!
  19. 'It’s not the setbacks that are important – it’s how you respond to them.' That is worth making into a banner; IT IS NOT SETBACKS THAT ARE IMPORTANT. IT'S HOW WE RESPOND TO THEM In other words, two fingers to our mealy mouthed critics.
  20. The real atmosphere at The Dell was before seating was enforced. 25,000 and more standing, singing, shouting, cheering, within no distance of the players. RIP Dell Anyone know what the highest ever attendance at The Dell was?

    Sadio Mane

Saying that makes me realise how far we've come this short season. I don't think Lallana and Lovren would improve our team now.
  22. Saints need to hold future prices if attendances are to grow. At least, look at ways of providing incentives to allay current costs for fans if regular full houses are to be achieved.
  23. Two apologies actually - for not including Schneiderlin
  24. Since the lazy hungry media get many of their stories from here, you are feeding them.
