Actually we don't have backup for Tadic who is out of form. And now is when we are missing Lallana (written from my bullet proof bunker). So who is out there that can offer the forward creative wing play we have become used to to get behind defences. We could advance Clyne to cover for Tadic perhaps, but we don't have effective cover for Clyne yet.
-
But we are winning the bookings 2-0

Better than Monday night, but I would hate Fridays. Don't give Sky ideas. They will drag more matches from Saturdays and move games to Fridays as well as Mondays. All without considering fans.

Wotte is associated with our darkest days, but the financial situation we were in did mean that Adam and Morgan got invaluable first team experience. He also worked for nothing I believe which kept us going before Marcus bought the club, so he has an important place in Saints history.

Someone said that this time in the Prem he/she thought more people leave before the end now than last time we were in the Prem. I wonder if this is so, but there will be no stats. About leaving early during evening matches to catch trains/ get up early for work and other worthy reasons, I'm sure just as many leave early during afternoon matches.
-
I don't believe that supporters leaving games early are plastics. I am not suggesting in any way that they are not true supporters. I just think it is sad that some get into a habit of leaving before the match has finished to be early in the homeward queue. I accept that sometimes there are good reasons for having to exit early, but mostly I doubt that there are.
-
Naturally. But movements towards the exits cannot be missed on anyone's peripheral vision. Better for the final atmosphere if everyone was in the ground shouting for the team till the end, surely.
-
I travel from London, sometimes by car, sometimes by train. I support Saints till the end, win or lose. And did so when we were in League 1. How does it look to our players when they see mass exits of their own supporters before the end of the game. You wouldn't expect them to give up until the final whistle, would you? We've drawn or won many games in the past close to extra time because of that last supreme effort by our team.
-
What about Saints fans who, instead of supporting the team to the finish, leave before the match ends? Isn't that just as fickle?
-
The number of unpunished cynical professional fouls by Manure players in good view of ref and linos were quite shocking.

hmmmm, and you are not?

Palace have graded us a top team. The woes of success.

If he could change Saints ****awful ale into beer I would welcome him.

I Liverpool in a transitional period? That's true. They are just four points above the relegation zone.

I'm very proud of my little patch in the swamp

It's ironic. We have Matt Targett and others waiting for their chance, but the fitness, lack of injuries, and quality form of a team that has so far seen few changes is denying them their chances. But as the season gets tougher, players will get knocks and I'm sure that we'll see more Academy players coming through again. It is a consequence of losing Rickie, Lallana, and with Jay injured that we have fewer home grown players on the pitch now. But we have replaced them with outstanding footballers who are fantastic, skilful role models that can only raise the bar for our home grown youngsters to aspire to. Meanwhile I doubt if there is anyone who is not proud of our club's role, through our successes on the pitch, of our foreign players being picked for their national teams. And yes, of course, there is a bit of tongue in cheek in the OP (for those who doubted). But it is stating an impressive fact. We have never before been able to boast so many international players at Saints. Wasn't it only about ten years ago that we were so proud of only James Beattie getting his English cap - the first Saints footballer for years?

By winning the League Cup and/or the FA Cup and ending the season in 4th place.

It's intended to salute all Saints internationals. Their achievement is Saints achievement. We're all bigged up for Clyne and Forster. But I for one am just as proud for the likes of Morgan, Jose, Graziano and others getting their international call up too.
-
After the International break, and interruptions to our title challenge, time to practice our next St Mary's England chant. COME ON ENGLAND, ENGLAND, France, Portugal, Belgium, Italy, Serbia, Senegal, Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Kenya, Zambia, Japan and Romania!!!! (after ENGLAND, ENGLAND, other caps' countries to be sung very, very fast. One for each player. Have I left anyone out? I've included every senior who played for their countries this last week, including Mayuka. (Does anyone know if Gardos played for Romania btw? I might be wrong there) For the youth competitions we'll need another list of international players' countries. Surely we must now be able to field one of the largest squads of international players as all but the big clubs. (I think it will be too complicated to change the chant for countries according to who is on the pitch.) So start practising now!

I think he'll find their Amstrads not what he is used to

There's no point in him going to Tottenham. Their stone age computers won't work

I like it. But it's still 'Struggling Southampton, the Premiership's Autumn runners up mind 2nd place for Man City, Arsenal, ManU etc.'

Some great reviews and I feel very proud to be a Saints fan. How long can we remain under the radar though? Well the pundits still say we won't make top four at the end of the season. That is good. We can prove them wrong. We have nothing to lose.
