Is it unfashionable to say that Salisu is not actually that good? He seems to get a free pass with all the criticism being aimed at Bednarek and co (they deserve it too), but Salisu’s been gash for a while. Expected nothing today but was hoping to see some shoots of change. Same old same old.

If Cucurella is being touted at £50m after one good season, then KWP has to be £50m minimum.

I’d say it’s more likely that there is nothing in it because he posted it. If anything was close, I suspect the club wouldn’t have allowed it, plus he’d be in more fancy surroundings. Nothing more than an injured player seeing family and taking in a game.

Certainly looks like we’re looking to do permanent deals over loans, which I guess is a refreshing change. Maybe after what happened with Broja, we wanted a permanent deal for Delap and City have said no, so we’re not pursuing any further.
