Cant see it as; 1) why would he come here? 2) we’d have to pay compensation and we never do that
-
Weren’t Norwich interested in him in the summer? Maybe they might fancy a dabble to help them back up?
-
Harsh, done a very good job at Swansea and Forest (so far). I’d say he’s got a lot more about him than Sturrock ever did. We seem to want a young team next year and this guy is experienced at managing young players.
-
Yup, well said.
-
Aren’t they pissed off because he is climbing Everest in December and the club have given him time off to do it? He made a comment that if him being 90% committed to the club wasn’t good enough then he’d quit, but the club agreed to let him do it.

Cheers @Master Bates for the updates, top work.

Perhaps you could jump over to Foxesweb whilst you’re at it.

Exactly, not sure what people aren’t getting. That said if we don’t sign a new number one for next season and McC is starting GK, then that’s an epic failure.
-
He took it early as well, brilliant goal. He looks a unit already too.
-
I still can’t see them going down. Not because they’re too good to, just think they’ll get some spunky results somehow.
-
Really? Best we can expect I reckon. Liverpool no chance. Brentford found form again, maybe a point. Palace best chance of three points but tough game. Leicester still a very good side, maybe a point if we’re lucky.

Salisu has two years left.
-
Say what you like about Armstrong, but he hasn’t been given a fair crack whatsoever. Feel sorry for him.

As it stands, McCarthy is the only senior GK here next season. All others are out of contract. So we will need two (one could be a young prospect). Djenepo, Redmond and Walcott are all allegedly up for sale. That leaves us with Moi and Armstrong who are both pretty average (plus Tella who doesn’t seem to get a look in). We need two options here if we want to progress. Defence has been a constant issue for several seasons. If you’re content with the 4 CB’s we currently have, fair enough. Three of them aren’t good enough to start regularly for a side who wants anything other than bottom third dross. We need an improvement here. Broja will be off in the summer, so we need to replace him and Long. Again, could get a young prospect as one of the two. We have no replacement for Romeu if he’s injured. Plus he’s getting on a bit in the role we’re asking him to play. This area needs attention. Question marks still out on Diallo and Smallbone could do with a loan. Do I expect this to happen, no. It’s what we need if we want to progress though.

A manager that won’t pick his best XI and formation. A bunch of bang average, mentally fragile players. And a pair of cockwombles that derail every fcking thread going. Whats not to love?
-
Forster, Perraud, Salisu, Bednarek, KWP, Romeu, JWP, Stu, Moi or Redmond, Broja, Adams. That team hasn’t played since Old Trafford. Sure, you can stick a 3-5-2/5-3-2 against the big boys, but the above (for me anyway) is our best team and formation.
-
2 x GK, CB, CDM, 2x 10’s, ST (maybe 2). 7-8 signings needed. Not going to happen.
-
Lack of investment is one thing. Continually not picking the best XI and/or formation is another.

Getting Adeyemi from Salzburg

Spot on.

Fair point, though both were offered deals before the takeover. I suspect they saw McCarthy as a cheap option to keep on the books and hope to have a new number 1 (a role Fraser didn’t want, which is why he’s off). You’re right though, if McCarthy is number one come first game of next season that is abject failure.

Some sense at last.

We offered both a contract and Forster turned it down. Can’t force someone to sign who doesn’t want to.
