  1. Colwill would be another very good signing if he was available in the summer. St Mary’s lad
  2. Like the direction we are going with these types of (attempted) transfers. Think this feels a bit more of a summer move to be honest, but you never know. Watch him tear the championship up on loan then Chelsea keep him 😂 ”Hey Armando, we’ve bought another friend in for you.. so about that permanent deal..”
  3. Put me in the “underwhelmed” category if that turns out to be us. Plenty of better keepers out there.
  4. See I read that “contract is clear” part as Chelsea can’t sell him / recall him in this window, so we aren’t going to be panicked into trying to buy him as he’s our player until the end of the season.
  5. Buy for £25m, Chelsea have a buy back option for £50m after two seasons? Reckon that could work for all parties.
  6. Again, you haven’t - I will ask them again for you. Do you think we have a chance of signing him (for ease of reference, I am talking about Dele Alli)? What would your thoughts/opinions be on Alli as a signing for Southampton Football Club? Good? Bad? Meh? Go on, take a break from being a pedantic tosser and give us your thoughts as a fan.
  7. Why don’t you respond to the questions I’ve asked? You know, offering an opinion? Which is, as you keep reminding everyone, what a forum is about? Forum doesn’t need a milk monitor.
  8. I mean you literally did. “Betting transfer odds do not reflect the liklihood of an event happening.” Do you think we have a chance of signing him? If we do, what would be your thoughts on it?
  9. You’ve not answered my question, unsurprisingly. You’ve said odds have no reflection on the likelihood of something occurring, which is clearly not correct.
  10. So are you actually suggesting that if a player is 1/10 to join one club and 25/1 to join another, one is no more likely than the other?
  11. Why don’t you give an opinion for a change? What do you think?
  12. If we were going for 2 GKs in the summer then I think he would make a lot of sense, however as it looks like McCarthy is staying I suspect (hope) well be going for a more ready made number 1.
  13. This aged well
  14. Fulham supporting friend of mine said he’s a good player but has stalled a bit this season, Co-incidentally since all the contract talk. Thinks he’s got a bit above himself and has gone through the motions a little bit. Suspect that’s a bit of sour grapes that they’re going to lose him.
  15. That was my thoughts too.
  16. All I know is he’s suspended.
  17. Missed one at West Brom too
  18. Spot on, fair play to them.
  19. Can’t you both just f**k off somewhere else rather than pollute yet another thread with your drivel?
  20. To be honest, another years loan and us getting two years out of him overall is pretty much the time anyone very good spends here anyway, so that would work for me. I’ve always viewed buy back clauses as glorified loan deals anyway - can’t see us getting as good a margin as we did with Tino in that circumstance, as Chelsea hold more of the cards. Think it will all come down to what Broja wants to do and how much he then wants to force that.
  21. I still reckon there's a deal to be done... but will likely need Broja to make it happen.
  22. Going to be a very good player. Still got a lot to learn and needs to boost his stamina, was flagging from the point after he scored. Second season loan is our best hope.
  23. Jay Rod, Ings, Broja and Pelle.
  24. Wow, didn’t see that coming. JWP was colossal - interceptions, tackles, covered every blade of grass. 120mins at the weekend, then puts in a performance like that on a Tuesday. Summed up by sprinting to chase a ball down the channel in the 94th minute, he must have 6 lungs. Dont think it was a coincidence that we went rather ragged in the last ten minutes when JWP was moved out of the middle. Broja is going to be some player, enjoy him while he’s here. A word for Fraser as well, good save at the end. But biggest triumph was his distribution, so much better from him and makes a real difference. We don’t get that from McCarthy. Thought in a great team performance, Redmond was a bit underwhelming, kept giving the ball away. Also not sold on Perraud, gets caught out of position too much. Plus he seems so reluctant to get forward, lost count of the amount of times Diallo was waiting for him to make a run/overlap. But when he does, his crosses don’t seem to be the first man. Hopefully with confidence this will get better. All in all a great evening - when was the last time we stuck 4 in at home in the league? Everton under Pellegrino?
