  1. That’s what I’d be going for. Shows how weak we are at 10
  2. I thought you could hear him shout “away” on MOTD - if in doubt Salisu should attempt to deal with it anyway, but any good GK would have come and tried to do something. Even if it was just to try and put off Richarlison.
  3. Forster, KWP, Salisu, New Cb, Perraud, Romeu, JWP, Armstrong, Tella, Adams, Armstrong
  4. Hmm, it’s all well and good saying it in post match interviews, but where’s the leadership on the pitch? He’s as guilty as the rest. “We caused them all sorts of problems but that first goal killed us and we gave them the hope to get something from the game.” He’s basically saying here that once we conceded the first goal we knew we were going to collapse. That’s not good enough - manager needs to take the majority of the blame but seriously, as a player how weak is that?
  5. I can only remember three times they didn’t - 2x 1-1 (Poch last game and Vestergaard header) and the Beattie winner in 03-04. So I’m going to say 13? Must be at least 6 of those they came from behind to win?
  6. Does seem a bit pointless this one. Even when we’ve played well against them at home in recent years, we’ve still managed to lose. Now we’re shite and they haven’t lost an away game since 1978, Unless we miraculously buy a GK, CB and a DM in the next week, we will get dicked.
  7. We still cannot hold a lead We still don’t have an adequate GK We still have a defence that makes too many mistakes We still can only play for 45 mins Our manager doesn’t make subs We still can’t adjust when a team makes tactical changes We still have no backbone We still have no leadership We still have no plan B We are going to end up going into the season short in at least one position, again. Three months to change this, yet just another continuation of last year. Hard to see anything other than our 2021 form continuing for the foreseeable.
  8. The time to change it was in our terrible run last year. He didn’t, so here we are again, same shite different day. He has to go.
  9. Richarlison and DCL start for Everton Townsend starts too… know what happens here
  10. Would be nicer to have a strong starting XI
  11. Probably because he’d look a bit silly if we accepted a £50m bid and he left.
  12. Spurs signed Romero, West Ham signing Milenkovic. I really don’t think there has been much other serious interest.
  13. £15m for an average CB, with one year left on his deal, who doesn’t overly suit our system defensively and has been part of the worst defence in the league for the last two years.. Works for me. £20m was never ever going to happen. Didnt Wanyama and Clyne both go for less than that, in similar contractual situations? They were both better players than JV. All about the replacement now, that will determine our season.
  14. Thinking positively, we’d have probably lost 8-0 if we hadn’t taken some of their players.
  15. Jesus. *waits for joke about neither being very good with crosses*
  16. He's our best centre back, but the bar is pretty low. Very good distributor, loves a spray out to a marauding full back. Very slow, not sure he's 100% suited to our game. Decent in the air, though for his size I don't think he wins as many headers as he should do TBH. Imagine he has a good understanding with Schmeichel - will be a decent option for you as a squad player, plus he probably won't be under the cosh as much for you as he is here. Think he looks better in a back 5.
  17. We're going to get stuck with him aren't we? Or sell for a heavily reduced fee either at the end of the window or in January. Can't see a foreign team forking out £20m - we need a Prem team for that and West Ham and Leciester seem to have other (arguably better) targets.
  18. Really can't see us bidding £8m for Armstrong, to then agree a deal for £21m in total. Suspect we will never know the actual amounts.
  19. Edited - Ignore, I'm an idiot
  20. What have you based this 10th place finish business on with Bednarek? How do you know he’s good enough for a 10th place finish, when he’s never finished there in any season with us?
  21. An easy win to improve the squad/starting 11 would be a new GK, really puzzles me why that isn't higher up our priorities list. A lot of focus on replacing Ings' goals, which of course is important - but if we cut down the amount we conceded by say, 15, then surely that would be an easier solution to help bridge the gap. Would be great if we could find our 'Dawson / Evans' style signing at CB, think that would majorly help out. Delaney at CM would be great too. All for signing excellent young talents, but have to be offset by some experience too.
  22. 👍 I mean it's not fending off Real or Barca, but it's a start
  23. We weren't - Udinese and Anderlecht.
  24. No.
  25. Meh, not bothered either way to be honest. Ideally a 2 year extension, a loan, then review next season to see where he is at would be the ideal. However, he may not want to extend. I could be wrong, but I don't think his body composition will ever hold up to a full season, especially not 46 games in the championship. I think he'll make a decent career for himself at Championship/League One level, but I just don't see the hype.
