In an ideal world, Valery would get a year out on loan somewhere as think he really needs it. But I can't see the budget stretching to 2x RB's this summer, so he'll probably have to continue to learn on the job.

I think you can only apply once he has 'signed', however I'm sure we would have been working on it behind the scenes and got a strong indication of whether it was likely he would get one before proceeding.

5 points from City, Everton and Utd is a great return. However, we've really got to get into the habit of winning these sorts of games - if we can do that then we're on for a very decent season next year. I hope not. We needed a midfielder prior to PEH being sold, if he goes and we don’t replace him that would be bizarre. Propping up one of the most important positions in Ralph’s system with untested youth players is a recipe for disaster.
