  1. You forgot to mention Deadwood. That’s his favourite word right now.
  2. Going to be a horrible, niggly, tight, nervy game - exactly the sort of game we've struggled in at home over the last 2 and a half years. Can't see us winning it.
  3. Standard. Didn’t expect anything else. A lot of talk about the summer and how that’ll be the time there will be a major shake up. But the likes of Hoedt, Forster, Carrillo, Austin, Cedric etc will all still be on high wages and will still be just as difficult to shift in the summer as they are now. I think they’ll just end up being loaned out again. If we’re really in a place where we have to sell to boost the transfer budget, because the owner won’t invest, then the summer could be just as underwhelming. Especially when £20m of whatever budget we have is already been committed to Ings.
  4. Yes I'm very aware, which makes it even more of a waste of time article.
  5. Not sure why this is a story to be honest... Leeds are never going to sell him now and quite rightly so. If (which looks likely) they get promoted, his value will skyrocket anyway, plus if you were him why would you want to leave now. Smacks of filling column inches, in a period where there is little to no transfer activity going on.
  6. Hmmm... Bold shout
  7. How come this is a sticky?
  8. Perhaps he shares the same Dominoes diet that Luke Shaw enjoyed between training sessions.
  9. Doesn't sound ideal that he's still feeling pain after surgery...
  10. Scored a belting goal at Stoke earlier this season if I remember rightly
  11. https://www.westlondonsport.com/brentford/southampton-showing-interest-in-bees-duo#.XDuNm1gF4tw.twitter Might get your wish SuperSaint...
  12. Thought Everton looked quite average to be honest, considering the money they’ve spent. Tried to throw it away at the end, Bournemouth just didn’t have the quality to score.
  13. Apparently bought Ballotelli to Nice
  14. Julien Fournier
  15. £6-£8m? Gunn cost us £12m and he hadn't played a premier league game. Ward at Leicester was Liverpool's third choice with no premier league experience and cost £12m, so absolutely no way McCarthy is £6-8m. I agree with Tajjuk - £15m-£20m is probably market value for an English GK who has broken into the England squad. The issue being though; 1) I can't see who would sign him. 2) If there was a club that wanted another GK (top 6 back up?), I'd imagine they would have higher priority areas to spend that sort of money on. 3) Clubs will know we're probably desperate for the cash and won't pay our asking price.
  16. It's a shame as we'll probably never know on a few of them - the likes of Sims, Hesketh, Reed, Gallagher were largely ignored over the last few years. Would have been interesting to see how well they would have developed if given a chance and be trusted like Ralph seems to have given the newer crop. You're right though - it's probably too late for some of them and we'll end of having to sell them on to free up squad space.
  17. No chance. A regular at RB Leipzig with Champions League aspirations won't be joining a poor Prem team who have a good chance of being relegated.
  18. This - only way I could see him being let go is if Everton sign someone else, and even then it would probably be a deadline day loan move until the end of the season.
  19. According to Adam Leitch on the Total Saints Pod, he reckoned that Ralph was quite keen to have a look at him now he's back from injury. So unless that info is completely duff, I'd be surprised if he's allowed to go.
  20. My favourite line... "as well as the likes of Jack Stephens, Maya Yoshida, Jan Bednarek and Florin Gardos."
  21. Worked out two different formula's Will be loaned out with no obligation to buy and he'll be back here at the start of next season.
  22. A lot of wedge for someone who has done next to nothing in the Premier League.
  23. Well just a wild stab in the dark, but maybe... just maybe... he thinks we would actually replace them?
  24. Agree - though I don't know who realistically would sign him. None of the big boys need a keeper, unless they want an expensive English back up for home grown quota.
  25. I agree with you. I also don't think he communicates that great with the defence - not in anyway blaming him for the dross in front of him, but there were a couple of times in the Utd game where he could have shouted to a defender to head/chest it back to him but he didn't talk and defender ended up hoofing it out of play. Probably not an urgent issue though to be fair, need a decent defence first.
