I'd go with: Paul Onuachu the striker at Genk good record in the Belgium 🇧🇪 league. Is like 6.7 so would give us a solid focal point at top. Can actually head a football also.. Or I would try and lure Tammy Abraham yes it's ambitious doable? Probably not.. As for another forward / Mid I would look at Justin Kluivet

( Fantasy Scenario ) The board have green lit the arrival of two players to strengthen. Keep targets realistic who would you bring in and why?
-
No Ballard? Well that's a tad disappointing he is better than Walcot 🤣
-
No I'm saying give Morgan a run out and see how he fares.... can't be any worse than the crap we have up top currently....
-
Selling Romeu without a suitable experienced replacement a stupid decision. Not properly replacing Danny Ings and starting this season with a Striker who is proven at this level or similar another stupid decision. I look at the squad Where is the creativity? What player is also capable of scoring on a consistent basis? Adam Armstrong - no end product Che Adams - Needs 10 chances Ward Prowse - backwards passing specialist.... Elyonoussi - not sure what he offers Walcott - Past it Aribo - not impressed so far ................................. Going forwards I would. Least get Jay Morgan a run out against weaker teams can't be any worse than what we have. Get a Targetman in mentioned it numerous times until I am blue in the face we are crying out for a focal point. That 6.7 lad at Genk who is banging them in would be my pick. Make room for a tricky, creative midfielder who can actually link up the attack I don't care if it means shipping out Adam Armstrong, Elyonoussi, Walcott or Djenepo just clear the decks and bring a upgrade in.... If we fail to do any of the above or similar we are in the Championship dress it up all you want.
-
Ox back? What has he done in the last few seasons..... I'd rather get a creative attacking player who produces on a regular basis
-
I'd keep him and make him captain only player we have with a bit of guile, heart and passion
-
Given it some thought and couldn't give a damm either way infact last couple of seasons Premier league football has lost it's attraction and appeal. I've slowly been losing interest same as International football it's a world up? Meh couldn't give a toss As people have said previously sooner the Oil clubs form a new league the better they are killing football.

Way I see it last summer window could of been better: Not properly replacing Ings with a similar calibre player was a silly move. Letting Romeu go I feel also was the wrong move. Dress it up you want give the fans words of encouragement. But ultimately we don't have Premier league level strikers. Che Adams maybe is progressing but the rest? Adam Armstrong massively out of depth should be loaned out. We need minimum two attack minded players in come January with experience or actually putting the ball in the net this level. Take risks or chances or try to be too clever and it's the Championship.....
-
If we don't sign two decent calibre players capable of creating and scoring at this level then we are in the Championship. Dress it up all you want blame the system, blame Ralph or use any other excuse.... The Summer transfer window was the real issue yes I get it signing youth players is exciting 👏 However we are in one of the most competitive, ruthless leagues Lack of replacing Danny Ings stupid decision. Lack of replacing Romeu or even selling him in the first place another daft decision. Lack of creative player that can actually assist another overlooked wasted opportunity. I still think Ralph if backed properly initially would of had us higher up the table and he would still be here. The problem we have is Adams and Armstrong need 15 chances to score one goal.... This level you just can't afford not to take chances. Walcot, Adam Armstrong, Ely, Djenepo are not up to it this level it's not rocket science we need to stop being clever and actually invest in the team with better calibre experienced players that can hit the ground running. Rant over

Expect a couple of lads from Luton then.... On a serious note regarding Paul Onuachu 28 or 29 I don't give damm if he scores the goals to keep us in the Premier League..
-
I personally thought we were crap Adam Armstrong is not a Premiership level capable striker and does nothing.... Defence all over the shop Few nice bits of play 2nd half granted... This team needs surgery / strengthening with some grit and a striker who can actually finish otherwise we are toast.
-
Not sure about when he played for Midtjylland. All I know is like he is 6.7 and can actually actually score with head. Which would give us a needed presence up top Highlights reel for anyone interested. Looks exactly what we are crying out for!
-
Said it numerous times Paul onuachu scored like 12 goals this season. Good record at Genk the targetman type we are crying out for

4-0 Liverpool

Do you want Nathan Jones to Manage Southampton Football Club?
ally_uk replied to Rivers's topic in The Saints
I thought our owner was a billionaire? Surely the tight sod can put some money on the table and sell a project to Poch or someone with the same calibre.... We are in a relegation battle this isn't the the time to be pissing about with inexperienced cheap options.... -
The more I read about Gallardo and the tactics, philosophy and style of play I reckon he is much better suited. https://totalfootballanalysis.com/article/marcelo-gallardo-river-plate-2022-tactical-analysis-tactics Could be next Poch
-
Any players at Luton or Stoke that Jones worked with previously that could do a job for us?
-
Nathan Jones 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Is this the level of ambition we are showing.... I'd rather we had kept Ralph and backed him with funds for a striker and creative player... Are we planning for the Championship? It certainly seems so
-
Just seen Tuchel having a Big Mac in West Quay 👀
-
Who is the young prodigy at Salzberg get him in!
-
Whole situation is embarrassing Just make a decision now and stick with it..... New guy needs to come in now. He will need backing with at least a creative player and a targetman in the January window otherwise forget staying in this league it's that simple....
-
Couldn't give a damm about it to be honest. Premier league football is also becoming tiresome. The gulf in wallets and expenditure ahem I mean skill and talent between clubs is becoming ridiculous. Sooner the Oil clubs form another league the better in all honesty. Football has lost the spark
-
Bring back Tadic, Wanyama and Pelle
-
I still think Onuachu is someone we should seriously look at as a striker option. Absolute unit like 6.7 good goal record for Genk and knows how to head a football. Could be the targetman, focal point up top we are crying out for. Surely we must of scouted him
