Was thinking this, would they block off the back of the kingsland say where the gasworks bar is, and then send all away fans through the industrial estate and right up St Mary’s street to join the Saints fans at the junction with Northam Road? Guessing extra police presence required there and along St Mary’s street to prevent organised trouble down the side roads. Also I’m guessing the opening hours of some of the businesses in the industrial estate might cause a few headaches if access is required on match day and there’s coaches everywhere. Would it be easier for the club to sacrifice a few corporate boxes and give away fans blocks 46-48 of the Northam and 1-3 of the Itchen so we get the majority of the Northam? (Not sure how many boxes are in use currently) Cup allocations can spread into blocks 44 and 45 without us having to give the rest of the Northam up and the segregation is already in place for that below stand. It’s already the whole length of the Northam isn’t it? Just divided by metal roller shutters at various points.

I loved the way in 2013/14, NikNak had managed to secure a deal with Adidas to supply our kit, and we were going to have lovely gold detailing on our bog standard plain red kit that you could buy unbranded for £20, because Lotus were going to be the team sponsor, before fucking it up and having to go back to AAP3 for a new deal.

Beatts looked, and was, twice the player Mara was in his first season with us, and he had the balls to dig deep and become a hero of the Great Escape. JB was a really exciting player for us in 98-99 and caused plenty of problems for the opposition. Sulky Sekou just looks fucked off all the time and I’ve seen nothing so far to suggest he’ll go on to have a career anywhere other than some also ran club in Ligue 1.

As Adam Blackmore said yesterday it would good to get another lower football league team, so that the fringe players get a chance to shine and are match fit when called upon. That probably won’t be the case if it’s a Prem side, do we really need the extra graft of a match against the likes of Everton or Bournemouth as an example. I’d love us to get Eastleigh at home, so they get a good pay day out of it, and most of us will be confused whether to cheer or feel bad when we score

The addition of Calderwood to our coaching team could well prove the best signing we’ve made this season. Essentially “another” clean sheet for our defence today. There’s no doubt they’re looking incredibly well drilled of late.

Almost a perfect day of results really. Would have preferred a Leicester win as nobody is catching them and the effect it would have on Ipswich’s goal difference but still a very good day for us.

What a win that is, even I’m starting to believe now! Impossible to pick a MOTM out of that, everyone has been a 7 at a minimum. One thing I will say is this Aribo of the last 5 or so games has been like a new signing for us. Get another attacker in next week, ideally a striker, and I think we could do it.
