  1. Ryan Fraser wouldn’t get near any other Premier League side, quite why we signed him because it’s nice to have “weeman” around the place is beyond me. As for Smallbone, he’s such a non entity in this league, got all the guile and presence in the middle of the pitch as a fucking traffic cone. The fact Russ bought these two onto the pitch is worth the sack alone.
  2. 2 goals for Rat Boy and a 1-4 win to Leicester I fear. Genuinely thought TP might feature today after his decent appearance at Arsenal.
  3. Still think we should have played him in the EFL cup final instead of Stephens.
  4. God knows what that starting line up was all about, at least Southgate picked a balanced side. Hopefully tonight’s embarrassment puts to bed the idea of Carsley getting the job full time.
  5. They’ll leave it too long like they did with Ralph, and then fuck up with their choice of replacement anyway.
  6. This for me is the most frustrating thing, and what hurts the most with every defeat. If we could bring someone else in, give the whole squad a blank slate to start from, and set us up a different way then just maybe they could keep us within arms reach of safety until the transfer window reopens and we can get in a couple of shithouse players that make us tough to play against and see where that takes us.
  7. Bloke hasn’t got a fucking clue. When he signed that new contract I said I wanted him to stay on when we go down to get us up again, but even I didn’t think it would be this bad. Manning has no place being in a Championship side, let alone starting in the Premier League at FUCKING ARSENAL! Clueless starting XI, and an easy home win for the Arsenal. 6-1 just to match the Skunts the other day.
  8. They can have Baz back if they want. Cunts.
  9. Said it would be awkward, not that it’s not a reason to not sack him. After all match against a Russell Martin XI without Russell Martin would be a strange scenario.
  10. Be awkward if he’s sacked before that Saints Legend game in a couple of weeks.
  11. I believe the appropriate term is “going in dry”.
  12. That’s how long Fabrice used to spend going round in circles before crossing tbf
  13. Fair play, that’s a pretty concise, and horrifying trip down memory lane that post!! I’d add Patrick Colleter and Juanmi to that list though.
  14. My expectations tonight were low, but fuck me that first half was as bad as anything since the 9-0. At least the club were sensible enough to see how Russ got on in the Prem before doing something silly like givng him a contract extension that would result in costing us more money if we sack him. Oh…
  15. So fucking obvious it was gonna go this way tonight. Can’t believe some people on here still back Russ or thought Bournemouth were an average team. Deluded. Getting butt fucked on national tv with little old Bompey singing “you’re fucking shit” Thanks for Wembley Russ, now kindly leave, and if you could somehow take that prick Rasmus with you that’d be great.
  16. I’m not even watching but already know you’re talking about those blueish smart casual shoes with white soles? The only way that another manager could keep us up IMO would be by playing a completely different brand of football to the one Sports Republic want us to play, which is why I don’t see them getting rid of RM. Say for example Moyes came in, he’d set us up hard to beat, he’d want a new centre half, want us to be strong in the centre of the pitch, playing a lot more direct with 2 strikers through the middle. Even if Russ did get the boot they’ll just replace him with some chai latte drinking hipster from the championship that’s obsessed with possession based football, who isn’t up to the task and we’ll just rinse and repeat this whole scenario within a year.
  17. Maybe he’s finally found a use for Tall Paul 😂
  18. And so far ahead of us as a club in so many ways now. Likewise Brighton. Mental really.
  19. I saw a clip of the Wolves game on SSN this morning that Gary Neville was referring to, it was bloody awful and exactly like watching Saints. There were 5 minutes left of the game and wolves spent a minute just passing it between the defence and GK. Every average club is trying to play like Man City but without the quality to do so and it’s really killing the enjoyment of watching a game.
  20. 3-1, easy Bournemouth win
  21. It’s such a shame that we finally have our best keeper probably since Boruc, and we’ll end up losing him after one season as the rest of the team is so shit.
  22. From this thread and the things I’ve read on social media it baffles me how many people still don’t understand how injury time works. There were 9 second half subs, that’s 4 and a half minutes alone, plus the game was stopped for 2 minutes for that melee. We didn’t defend well enough at the end when it mattered, can’t believe how much time and space they had on the edge of our box.
  23. Feels like a loss that. We are so fucking shit.
  24. PSG beat Girona in the 90th minute courtesy of a Paulo Gazzaniga own goal. You can take the boy out of Southampton….
