I caught up with all of the controversy this morning. The biggest factor all the pundits agreed on was that if the ball hit his hand it would have bounced to the floor about a metre away, and he’d not have been able to get the power to put the ball out for a throw in. I don’t know how this would stand up in court, but…. Now we know that the “specialist recording equipment” is just an iPhone, then surely it’s down to Boro to prove that either a) he was recording on it or b) he was live streaming. Because legally, there’s no way to prove he’s not just playing a game on his phone. Then they have to prove that if he did indeed film anything, then whatever footage was gained was detrimental to their result in the games. Now given how they dominated the game Saturday I don’t know how they’d have a leg to stand on and claim that we gained any advantage over them.

I would suspect Boro are in some pretty dodgy territory with some of these leaks. Hopefully Solak has got his lawyers on the case.

Hull limped over the line to reach the playoffs, and whilst they did beat us twice this season the first game was under the reign of Will Still and the second was pre Tonda ball. I believe we’ve got the better team and if we’re at our best we should be winning this. Particularly with our playoff experience and familiarity with Wembley.
