Guy I work with who’s almost at retirement age tells me the stories of that day in 84. He came home with a 9 inch scar courtesy of a scouse Stanley blade down his back from the afters, he said he was so full of rage at the result and adrenaline from the fighting he didn’t realise until he’d left the ground.

It’s interesting because I feel the opposite to this, I think it’s an awful idea. I still vividly remember that last week at the Dell being at the Arsenal game, Dodds testimonial and then the Brighton game, on the pitch afterwards, celebrating the ground and its history, to seeing it half demolished and how gutted I felt yet knowing it was for the best. Everton don’t have that now, they can still go to their old ground whenever they like, except to see it about 20% full and looking a bit sad. Sometimes it’s best to move on.

Let’s be honest it doesn’t matter what team we put out, or what formation we go with, this team is fucking shite and we’re going to get beaten anyway.

Yamal showing his inexperience by trying to score another rather than taking it to the corner just before the equaliser! Reminds me of Crouch against Everton all those years ago 😂 fucking Marcus Bent.

Some game this!!

Madness isn’t it. Whatever happened to just scouting talent from across the continent and getting them in for a trial to see if they’re actually decent. 27 years ago we sent a bloke to a country hardly anyone had heard of at the time to scout a player called Marian Pahars, and here we are in 2025 with some bloke that worked for a bank watching videos of a player to see what their xG is or some other shite analytical data. Honestly modern football is bollocks.

As with most takeover rumours opinion will be swayed by who the interested party is. Normally I’d say now is a bad time to sell, but the flip side is if some multi billionaire wants to come in and chuck a load of money at the club then bring it on. Hell I’d even be happy with some head chopping Middle Eastern businessman if it meant some trophies and European football in the long run.

I genuinely hate this team, the whole fucking lot of them. Would love it if we sold every single one of the cunts and started afresh.

So saintsy

Especially some of the ones absolutely bawling their eyes out on the news over some bloke they’ve never met, weird behaviour. The whole higher echelons of the Catholic Church just feels like a bunch of nonces and abusers anyway, certainly not worthy of anyone’s tears.

Leicester broke the record today for the first top flight team to ever go 9 home games without scoring a goal. Lucky for them their next home game is against us.

Legends? Not one single legend amongst them.

Wouldn’t say I’m excited by it, but if it’s one step closer to for example my wife and my daughter not having to share a changing room, or a public loo, with some “woman” and her cock then I’d say it makes a difference to me.

Our fans: loyal and positive, or noddy and soft?
bpsaint replied to Midfield_General's topic in The Saints
Leicester fans were chanting “you’re not fit to wear the shirt” at their team tonight. Our fans applaud the players despite them embarrassing the club on the world stage. Says it all really. -
They’re doing a Leeds again, unbelievable fall off from them. I almost feel bad for their fans at this point
-
Important player for us last season, but as with so many others in the squad it should have been a thank you for your service, there’s the door. One of Martins boys who he liked having around the place, no idea why we signed him on a perm.

St Mary’s and Newtown has always been a complete shithole to be fair, not sure that video shows anything particularly new.
-
Meh. Would have taken it before the game tbf.

I’ve only just got around to looking at all of todays results, Leeds were 6 points clear not long ago, they’re now two points behind top of the league Sheff Utd, and level in points with third place Burnley. Surely they’re not gonna do a Leeds again are they….

Aaron Ramsdale - Official: Loaned to Newcastle
bpsaint replied to Saint Fan CaM's topic in The Saints
I’m dreading next season if we start the campaign with Bazunu and McCarthy. Surely we’ll put some of the Ramsdale fee towards a new keeper? -
10 minutes into the new Tuchel reign and you’d be forgiven for thinking Russell Martin was the new England manager.

Some header that was. Such a hard choice on who I want to win this. Once upon a time it would have been Newcastle but their fans have been utter entitled bellends since the takeover and the media love in, and their “love of a number 9” makes me sick. They’re like the Pompey of the north such is their opinion of themselves. On the other hand that would mean the National anthem booing scouse rats winning which would be equally funny watching them mess up.

Wouldn’t surprise me from a business point of view, I imagine we’re one of many clubs that prop up the women’s team with the funds from the men’s side. Has to come a time when you have to say what’s the point, as disappointing as it’ll be for those associated with the team.

Imagine we finish on 10 point to break the Derby record and then Man City get docked 100 points. Bullet dodged 😂
