This is proper random.... I live in Cork (ireland) where there is zero Saints following (met my first fellow saints fan in cork aged about 20, and have never encountered a skate over here). But tonight, walking to the pub earlier, there was a group of young lads coming towards me. As they passed, one kid starting singing the pompey chimes. I was like WTF, and had to double check myself for colours for fear of wind-up (never wear colours on a night out but still..) Proper shock to the system and was very hard not to react to the little sh*t. Anyways, I'm still shook by the close encounter and wondering if any other far flung Saints have had such trauma? ?

Super team effort today. Defensively we are back to last season's levels. If we can just click in the final third we will be very very strong. Red card was a joke. That clattenburg is a proper knob.

Funny you should mention the legendary Christy Ring norm, because I've just moved back to the city after spending almost a decade living in his birthplace village of Cloyne (which is sh*t btw). Thankfully the Cork-Southampton route is being reinstated this year, so much better chance for me to get to SMS after a ridiculously long hiatus. Can't wait; )

Based on club form the bloke shouldn't be anywhere near an international squad. Mind you that applies to several other of Hodgson's favorites.

I'd keep the same eleven as last week with the exception of bringing in a more defensive midfielder (Clasie/Romeu) in place of JWP to provide more solidity. Bit harsh on Prowsey to be fair, but it's a squad game. See us getting a point.
