Fry must ditch Pinnacle and then resign ...

I have been at the receiving end of two companies calling in the administrators and have knowledge unlike you, keep believing you know what you are talking about, or not as is the case.

I have advised professionally in numerous administrations and liquidations and, believe me, accountants' habit of always thinking in terms of numbers rather than legal rights often causes last-minute problems that could so easily have been dealt with earlier on.

I agree that the administrators appear to have done a bad job in vetting the Pinnacle group.

As for our own "Swiss Tony", he does seem to be in the same mold as Barry the Briefcase and Marky Jackson. Just a bunch of timewasters that end up damaging the fortunes of football clubs.

Why do we always want everyone out? If Fry goes, that's curtains!

Why would it be curtains? BT are a large company a fair few Administrators. Give someone else the job at SMS rather than Fry and see if they can get the deal done. Thats standard business practice, if an employee hasn't performed well enough, you replace them on the "project" with someone else.

I understand this, so yes, I probably exaggerated, but still... it would take time for the new person to maybe settle in to his new role, and such a pressured one at that were he would have to work fast to get the job done. It would be a massive risk, and it would delay things even further - MAYBE too much further.

No, this is why BT have had Hudson there the entire time. Again, standard business practice to have a seconder on board top step in if the first guy royally ****s up.

So you were ITK about last minute problems that could of been averted? Why didn't you do something about it then instead of posting your thoughts on this messageboard.

And TL has been lying.

Well I'm taking my laptop to work again today as I did the day before, but I haven't seen the SSN video from yesterday.

I see a lot of people are dismissing the Pinnacle bid as a fiasco and I admit it is extremey worrying in the light of Mr Money man's apparent status but I won't condemn this until I know more. I have no contacts within the club and I'm too far away from the action to hear any info unless it's from here.

I would have hoped that due diligence would involve checking the accounts of those involved to see that the funds were in place before entering the exclusivity period etc.

If Fry has been taken for a ride then it doesn't show Begbies in a very good light at all.

GM was voicing concerns about Pinnacle some weeks ago and got blasted for it by some on here, and I wonder about the old adage "no smoke without fire" (at least until Jacko's funeral anyway)

Begbies traynor and dla piper have been a total shambles

Without doubt.

I'm sure you 2 are more experienced and would have done a better job than the UK's 15th largest accountancy firm and 5th largest law firm.

To be fair GM voices concerns about everyone all of the time! This time is was unjustified as he didn't know who the mystery backer was. All he could do was voice concerns about Pinnacle as a company which was justified given their size.

I wonder what GMs take would be now on a retirement homes company taking us over. They haven't got a pot to **** in would be a commonly used phrase. lol.
