lordswoodsaints Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 About the reasons why the FL held up the deal. Come on matt,do the decent thing,it doesn't matter to you anymore but it could ease the way for somebody else to do a deal. Stop dodging the question and pop a cap in the arse of the FL. Trouble is I think Matt still thinks Lynam is legit and believes what he is told (ie it was the FL's fault). Be interesting to hear the FL side of things. beatlesaint Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 The interesting thing is, if we are taken over and dont go out of business then whatever the League problems that Pinnacle talk about will come out.....or if they dont exist we will know, as will MLT, that a few porkies have been told. Be interesting to see what happens IF we get a buyer.

ringwood Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 well the nda surely must of ended with the exclusivity, we really need to know what the FL terms are. surely the same terms will be applied to any other bidders? if the FL are so sure they are right then why arn't they publishing them?, by not doing so they are prolonging the administrators role, the club staff risk working for no pay next month when the players might well be free agents if club liquidated. Be interesting to hear the FL side of things. Did you realy ever think that the Pinnacle bid would ever lead us back to our glory days we discussed the other night when lots of us went to Belgium. I never was impressed with any thing I saw them produce in writing or on TV/Radio without even bothering with whether they had money or not. lumpofshipperley Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 The football league has done what it has done to all clubs in our position. They held their ground. It's their ball and they won't let us play. Simple as. Maybe not fair but that's life. And tt's not always someone's fault. Remember that some poor sod has just wasted 500k on a big lump of nothing. DrunkenSaint Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 Its about the FL giving us more -points and he dont want to scare the others parties away, but since they will find out soon enough he might as well give them a headsup. Luton did there best to catch up but -27 points is basicaly saying your relagated again unless you win all of your games which aint going to happen. No one in there right mind would invest alot of money into a club which is more or less relagated at the start of the season, thats why ppl are pulling out. In the simple words of C3P0 "We're Doomed!"
gonzo Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 But, anybody with any amount of brainpower would know that the football league would not back down. Apart from the face-saving aspect of it, had they backed down, they would have been subject to legal action from pretty much every club that has suffered the points penalty. Rather one club go under than **** off many others, from the FL's point of view.
Reggie Dunlop Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 Be interesting to see what Aviva's take on it all is, if we are not sold they will lose out and they will not like it if and thats a big IF the FL have screwed around with their money. ringwood Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 I've emailed the FL May I ask in the interests of all Southampton Football Fans that the FL issue a statement which simply indicates the terms expected for a bidder to complete the purchase of SFC. There is much conjecture on the exact terms and whether it involves further penalties or license terms. There is currently much anger among the fanbase which is being aimed at bidders and the FL. A clear statement I feel would settle the matter, there is after all not only the fans but the employees of the SLH group of companies, also the creditors of the group of companies who would welcome clarity. Perhaps we should all mail the FL if only 50 % of the members online here did it then they would have an awful lot of people asking

INFLUENCED.COM Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 Could they be held to an agreement signed whilst in negotiations to purchase a club ? Are Pinnacle staying tight lipped as they believe they may have another crack of the whip so don't want to p1ss the FA off too much ? It must be in Pinnacles interest to disclose the terms within the document they were being forced to accept, if I were being wrongly accused I would produce evidence to the contrary

VectisSaint Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 He will still be tied to his NDA You cannot be tied to an NDA with a company that no longer exists. Period. Its not the Official Secrets Act (and even that doesn't stop people spilling the beans). There is no contractual agreement between SLH and MLT. St Chalet Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 Perhaps MLT has a bit of class and will keep the goings on under wraps. Post Mortems are for the dead, this club needs saving not constantly looking to apportion blame for what has happened. It's the equivalent of the Titanic captain holding a disciplinary hearing to the look-out as the ship sinks.
