PaulSaint Posted 3 September, 2009 Posted 3 September, 2009 As well as Papa, who have we signed from Italy, where they good & was it Serie A, B, etc? Only one my feeble memory can remember is the Rideout transfer from Bari in the eighties. He played real good in that 4-2-4 formation against Liverpool at the ole cowshed:D
The Majestic Channon Posted 3 September, 2009 Posted 3 September, 2009 Cosimo sarli...prolific for the reserves, never got picked for the 1st team, left, never to be heard of again.

You're forgetting a certain Mr Dia too! Oh and wasn't Baseya of Congolese origin? As for Italian, didn't the legendary Argentine midfield-maestro Sarmiento also have an Italian passport?
benjii Posted 4 September, 2009 Posted 4 September, 2009 The best African we have ever signed was Jimmy Belmadi. Proper class.
