Any news on Oscar?

Anyone know how Oscar Gobern's loan spell at MK Dons has been going?

Has he been playing? Has he impressed during his time there?

I rate the lad and think he could have a future at St. Mary's. I'd be interested to hear some feedback on his loan spell.

Okay I'll bite, so who in the CURRENT first choice starting 11 would you replace?

I'm not saying I'd have him in the first-team currently, in fact, I'd have Holmes, Mills, Mellis and Lallana ahead of him at left-midfield right now, but IMO he has potential and could develop into a decent player for us.

I have watched Oscar a number of times at youth/reserve level and always felt his best position would be central midfield.Don't laugh but he reminded me of a raw, Patrik Viera.Mind you i have also been known to be wrong.:(

Don't disagree at all.

All young players who get their first outings look like a combination of Ronaldo and a three-legged camel... at sometime in the game.

Performances in youth sides (as you recall) are seldom mirrored in first team outings. (Consider some of those who were around when you played Colin);)

Oscar looks a good talent, but only more games and tougher opposition will

show it. Hopefully it will be with us in a season or two, otherwise he will disappear to L2 / Conference... and re-appear in a CCC side in 5 years time when he's really matured...let's hope we don't lose his talent.
