Saint till I die! But for some reason the Northam is still quiet. I think we are still in shook from the quick turn around in form but i'm sure that it will come soon and SMS will be a noisy place to be. A few more Fonte style signings and Ipswich will be swept aside and hopefully we'll be able to get something against Millwall next weekend too
fareham saint phil Posted 9 January, 2010 Share Posted 9 January, 2010 What a difference a few months make, we have been through **** and now we are enjoying the re-birth of our club lets enjoy it, glad i got our half season tickets now!!
trousers Posted 9 January, 2010 Share Posted 9 January, 2010 Some of us were saying this time last year that we'd be better off going into administration and dropping down a division. Hindsight or foresight? Let the SaintsWeb Forum jury decide. Talking of being on a high...I actually started clapping to myself in the kitchen this morning in a wee fit of excitement as I thought about what lays ahead for us in the next few years....I don't like to talk about it though... croydonsaint Posted 9 January, 2010 Share Posted 9 January, 2010 I hope Lowe is watching. Not that he should be allowed near a football club again, but i hope he is watching how it should be done. .............. Not that the arrogant **** is capable of learning....... I think it is relatively easy running a football club where there are not many financial constraints something Lowe never had. -

Like humility, charisma, charm for starters. Apart from that, he had no real idea how to run a business like this either, failing to understand that the more bums you have on the seats, the more dosh you have to buy players. Even then, fewer players of quality is often better than many of mediocrity.

Sorry but I cant stop laughing what a delusional post The club was well run for a long period of time and had large crowds but eventually like other clubs SFC was relegated

I never said that we were not prone to relegation like other clubs, but the poor way that we were run as a business guaranteed it sooner or later. I pointed out a couple of reasons. Do you care to debate them, (again) rather than just this rather childish "your post is so ridiculous that I it made me laugh" attitude? The Club was not well run, but if our opinions differ, then there is no way that I can convince you otherwise, even if I could be bothered to make the effort. But a well run club might well have remained in the Premiership arguably, or at the very least the Fizzy Pop division.

Sorry lets agree to disagree because we are always poles apart on a certain issue as I do not agree that Lowe did not know how to run a football club. But I am totally pleased that we got relegated lost Lowe and are now owned by Markus because having a rich owner is probably the only way to have success in the near future. I did not really enjoying being an also ran in the Premiership

I did not really enjoying being an also ran in the Premiership OK. Truce. I'm with you that things are so much better now, even in this division, because we have some degree of certainty that we will soon return to the top table of British football and that the fans and the board are once more reunited towards achieving that end. And in the spirit of seasonal goodwill, I'll concede that Lowe might have been capable of running a football club properly. Just not this particular one. I wonder how much better it is going to get this season - the results against Leeds and Colchester and the Performance against Luton have slightly dented my hopes for a top six finish but I fully expect to go to Wembley at least once with SFC in 2010 thirty years after my last visit.
