saints_is_the_south Posted 15 January, 2010 Share Posted 15 January, 2010 Terrace behind the goal holds 1200 & 300 seats are also available on the side so not many in answer to your question! Should get some news soon I'd guess, the game is 3 weeks away tomorrow & with not many tickets I expect they'll have to sell them in some sort of priority. brianoneils slidingtackle Posted 15 January, 2010 Share Posted 15 January, 2010 On checking Exeter have an average this season of only 5471 in a ground that has a capacity of 9036 so we should have plenty of space for additional tickets. But already giving Saints about 1500 tickets is above the minimum requirements though

Should get some news soon I'd guess, the game is 3 weeks away tomorrow & with not many tickets I expect they'll have to sell them in some sort of priority. The only selling priority will be similar to Brentford as we've only got 1744 tickets for that game, which is ST holders first then restricted general sale. The9 Posted 18 January, 2010 Share Posted 18 January, 2010 (edited) :(This is why (if you can be bother to read all 43 pages)! http://www.exeweb.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36607 First post seems to sum it up : Today was nearly a complete disaster and lives were nearly lost. The crush in the first 10 minutes of the game appeared to be a direct result of away fans being let in despite there being no room at the beginning of the away end. Plenty of room to the left but the dozy Leeds c*nts in the middle could not be bothered to move despite numerous tannoy announcements. Couple with the Leeds w*nkers who got tickets for the Flybe having to be moved into the away end a crush was inevitable. The police were not to blame for any problems, your own thick fans and our stewards were. What price a fans life eh? Well you nearly found out once again today and thankfully you got lucky. I was in the second row of block m in the Flybe and all was filmed by my son. It is due to be posted on youtube later so you can make your own minds up. No doubt the Leeds fans will blame the away end capacity but there was plenty of room in there, you just couldn't be bothered to help your own fans. Here's the video : - doesn't show much other than a lot of people having to jump over the wall to the far left but then it wouldn't show much... Sour Mash Posted 18 January, 2010 Share Posted 18 January, 2010 As discussed on the Saints Away section, what a joke this is. Fingers crossed they'll see sense and release the full (still quite small) allocation. Not one to have a go at smaller clubs, but how poxy are Exeter, it isn't our fault if they/their security people can't manage a home game against Leeds, sell lots of tickets to away fans in the home end, then decide to move them into the away end as "there looked like there was lots of room". Got in late at the cup game down there last season as well due to long queues.

kpturner Posted 18 January, 2010 Share Posted 18 January, 2010 Applications in writing from ST holders only with priority given to those who have been to 3 or more away games?! I have a ST and I have been to more than three away games but I haven't bought any of the tickets. My mate who works nearer the ground buys the tickets. Where does that leave me in terms of priority I wonder? PS: Questions for those going by train - Leaving from Parkway or Southampton Central? Destination - Exeter Central or Exeter St David's? How much (I was quoted £70.50 for three)? Raileasy quotes 1 change - but doesn't say where.

Depends if your mate who buys the tickets used your ST number when he got them, makes sense to do it even if the tickets are on general sale. I get tickets for two others and always use our three ST numbers. Basically if you haven't got the away games matched against your ST you won't have any chance of getting a ticket. My train tickets are for Exeter St Davids via Westbury, starting at Soton Central. Came to £68 for four when I booked them in November.

brianoneils slidingtackle Posted 18 January, 2010 Share Posted 18 January, 2010 I had thought of just getting a ticket for the home end as its easier, but i cant be bothered of applying in writing for a ticket for the away section, why dont they just do a Northampton and give us two sides of the ground, its not as if exeter get a capacity crowd every week. !! Stand around handing out flyers or dress up as the penguin and feck about. (wondering if I can get away with wearing a saints shirt over the penguin suit lol) Would rather get a seat with my family and enjoy the game though. Andy_Porter Posted 18 January, 2010 Share Posted 18 January, 2010 (edited) if you can't be bothrered to write a letter that will take around 5-10 mins then you can;t really complain about the allocation I've no problem spending time writing a letter. It's just a poorly thought out idea. For one they haven't told us who to send the letter to, whether it needs to include bank/card details, if we can apply for multiple ST's in one letter and most importantly which address. They shouldn't be making it hard for customers to spend their money. It's pretty stupid to do a ballot at all, if there are more than 800 people who apply who have all been to over three aways then they should just sort out from the applicants which 800 had been to the most games and send them the tickets. It's hardly fair if people who have only been to three away games get tickets ahead of people who have been to all the aways. It's been very poorly thought out by our ticket office, they've got plenty of time to have sorted a proper system and at the very least they should have made the OS article far more clear. If I hadn't bought my train ticket already I'd give this one a miss and just go next season. Edited 18 January, 2010 by Andy_Porter
brianoneils slidingtackle Posted 18 January, 2010 Share Posted 18 January, 2010 I have a problem with writing a letter, if I send a letter I cannot be sure that it is recieved unless I send it recorded delivery, many times I have asked for tickets to be sent to my home address as its not always practical to get to St Marys, but at least twice this season the tickets havent arrived and I have had to wait for duplicates to arrive at an away stadium. what wrong with the internet, e-mail or someother method. Writing a letter is so 1980's :-)

La BoIS Saint Posted 18 January, 2010 Share Posted 18 January, 2010 Previous experience has shown that if you make the effort to apply you will be almost certain to get one. When we played Brighton there was all this fuss for about the same number of tickets but they still went on sale to non appliers. Worth applying even if you haven't been to three games. saints_is_the_south Posted 19 January, 2010 Share Posted 19 January, 2010 I emailed David Luker asking if he could rectify my problem & his reply was: Just as a cursory glance Lee, you have six If you have bought them as part of a group, it’s the person who “owns” the order who has it shown in their order history. We get to see the games linked to such an order in our system. So should be ok. Even though I can only see 1 away game linked to my customer number on my order history he can see 6 on his system.
