beatlesaint Posted 15 January, 2010 Share Posted 15 January, 2010 Didn't Saints themselves say this earlier in the week? Yes, under the injury updates on the OS it says he will be out for about a fortnight.

Fitzhugh Fella Posted 15 January, 2010 Share Posted 15 January, 2010 Tonight's Echo still have him in the team. Perhaps NC has blocked the Echo's access to the website. Lazy reporting. Without taking sides in this - the Echo's lack of up-to-date info is now starting to become embarrassing. It needs sorting but I don't think Cortese is the sort of man to back down. The Echo needs the club & to be honest - the club needs the Echo. We all like reading everything Saints-related in print - in front of your eyes - each day in the form of a local rag - and equally - the club needs to get their message out for the fans to read. Not everyone has a computer either - so it's not easy for many to simply log on to the OS. Perhaps they should all kiss & simply make up... Even so, they should be able to get basic stuff like this correct. They've got the same internet and twitter access the rest of us have and sure certain members of the editorial team will have Saints TV.

I am surprised they devoted 2 pages tonight on who will be dropped to accomodate Fonte inc Jaidi.
Third Division South Days Posted 15 January, 2010 Share Posted 15 January, 2010 Absolutely. I am surprised they devoted 2 pages tonight on who will be dropped to accomodate Fonte inc Jaidi. Trouble is they now have no access to the management or players at the club and are struggling fill three pages of saints info either side of the tv and radio guide(which prat decided that). It can only get worse and the readership is starting to realise. Yes in someways the club need the Echo but no way near as much as the Echo need the club. deadpanmatt Posted 16 January, 2010 Share Posted 16 January, 2010 Just another example of physical print losing out to the immediacy of instant web-based formats. They can never really have 'exclusives' anymore because most people already know about news items to do with the club by the time they come to print, so the paper has to write 'creatively'. Unfortunately they don't seem to be very good at producing anything useful or worth reading without making things up.
Matthew Le God Posted 16 January, 2010 Share Posted 16 January, 2010 Just another example of physical print losing out to the immediacy of instant web-based formats. News of Jaidi's injury was confirm on Weds by Pardew. The Echo ran a story of defensive choice between the new centre backs and Jaidi/Perry on Friday. The Echo had plenty of time, they were just lazy.
