Not only that, we're capable of winning all of them. We are good enough to do it and we are going to do it." Someone's still confident. Nice to hear. Rory Posted 19 March, 2010 Share Posted 19 March, 2010 That's nice Jason but it felt like we were puncheon above our weight against Swindon.
70's Mike Posted 19 March, 2010 Share Posted 19 March, 2010 he will bekissing the badge next. Saints fans like to see the talking on the pitch not in the press, we heard so much cr*p during the 2 relegation seasons about what players had to say

John Smith Posted 19 March, 2010 Share Posted 19 March, 2010 Against Swindon, we froze. We ran out of idea's, both on the pitch and from the management. Swindon had the extra man in midfield, and apart from about 10mins in the first half, they bossed that area, unusually for us. Morgan was doing his best, but Hammond was running across the pitch far too often. The wide men eventually got pulled in to mark the extra midfielder, leaving the winger one on one with the full back. Essentially, we played their game, not ours. What could have been done? Many things. What should the players have done? Lots of options? What did the management do? Waigo on after 65mins rather than 70. It just wasn;t enough. No creativity, no passion, no anything. Were we tired (Swindon played this week end also)? Were we not good enough? Had we run out of ideas? Become stale? I think any chances of play offs has now gone, beating Swindon at home was a must. We didn't realise the importance and let them boss us on our own patch. Maybe we should just learn a lesson from this, but the talk coming out from the club is that it's in denial. I'm proud of you this season, the players, fans, management and owners, looking forward to next season, please God, let us have learned. Push on next season, we need to raise it, now that the team knows each other.

The9 Posted 19 March, 2010 Share Posted 19 March, 2010 But we win one, we lose one. No chance of Play-offs, top 10 is the aim now Well, more like we win three we lose one since October. And at home we win ten we lose one.

the colonel Posted 19 March, 2010 Share Posted 19 March, 2010 Why is Sky SPorts MK match preview quoting: 'On-loan midfielder Jason Puncheon will be hoping for a solid display against his parent club.' No he isn't. More poor lazy reporting considering MK weren't his parent club when we bought him as he was on loan to them from Plymouth!! Although he was an MK owned player back in 2004 to 2006. Puncheon just needs to avoid getting wound up by his former team-mates so as not to get that 10th card. Because him getting a 2 match ban is something we don't need just now. Bet that little twerp Gleeson start in on him and Morgan from the kick off whistle.

LaptopSaint Posted 19 March, 2010 Share Posted 19 March, 2010 We have to aim to be less than ten points off the play-offs. That's a realistic target and will give us the confidence going in to next season that we were a play off standard team who can only get better. Love the description 'twerp' for Gleeson! - almost too nice a term to portray the total embodiment of a team that portrays such a c*ntastically anti football ethos! But I agree with the sentiment! Think we will manage it too. Reckon we'll end up around the low 70 points mark, with 6th place around 82 points. Even if we did win the next 11 games (you'd get amazing odds on that), we'd finish on 80, probably falling 2-3 points short.
Legod Third Coming Posted 20 March, 2010 Share Posted 20 March, 2010 Nice try Jason but it's over. If you'd worked harder at Wycombe and Tranmere it might not be, but the second we lost to Swindon, the game was up.
