Badger Posted 6 April, 2010 Share Posted 6 April, 2010 Any songs or ways we can wind Charlton up if we are winning considering they detest Pardew so much? Nice to rub it in if Pardew beats them as I am sure they will if they beat us. Thoughts?
benjii Posted 6 April, 2010 Share Posted 6 April, 2010 No doubt some idiot will sing "You're just a small town in Milwall", or something equally nonsensical and borish.
saintmonkey1979 Posted 6 April, 2010 Share Posted 6 April, 2010 I would've though "Alan Pardews Red and Wite Army" would be sufficient.
docker-p Posted 6 April, 2010 Share Posted 6 April, 2010 No doubt some idiot will sing "You're just a small town in Milwall", or something equally nonsensical and borish. That has to be one of the most pathetic chants currently doing the rounds, along with "Is there a fire drill" and "One -nil, and you ****ed it up" People should be ejected for singing these. farawaysaint Posted 6 April, 2010 Share Posted 6 April, 2010 Something along the lines of "you're seasons been better than ours?" We should be singing if they give us rubbish and we're above them in the league.

The9 Posted 7 April, 2010 Share Posted 7 April, 2010 No doubt some idiot will sing "You're just a small town in Milwall", or something equally nonsensical and borish. That's boorish, and it's "small town in Palace" apparently !
Prince Jazzbo Posted 7 April, 2010 Share Posted 7 April, 2010 I really hate 'Your support is ****ing s**t' especially in league one where actually many of the fans of opposing teams are from areas where they could support higher profile more successfull teams, but choose to support their team for example. Orient have a choice of West Ham, Spurs and Arsenal, Brentford have Chelsea, Stockport and Oldham have Man U, City etc. Base on that I think for many of these teams and given their profile compared to some of the teams in their catchment area their support is actually quite good. MorningtonCrescent Posted 7 April, 2010 Share Posted 7 April, 2010 I'm sure the "small town" chant has been around for a very long time, although it was once "small club in.... " which would make a lot more sense! So, pick the name of the town/city where the oppositions main rivals are, and sing "small club in....." Singing something is better than silence, but I do draw the line at "fan on a string" - what a s**t song! Overall, the fans have been disappointing in the two games since Wembley. A combination of many feeling there is nothing to play for and the usual nerves that set in when the scores are tight and we need a win to keep in the mix? We need to create some really good atmosphere in the coming matches, if we don't want that nervousness to translate onto the pitch. Its time to turn up the volume for the remaining games, so that at least the fans can say they did all they could to help our climb up the table. With a summer break heading our way, we may as well give it our all before we start next season's assault on the title! ;-)
