Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 12 July, 2010 Share Posted 12 July, 2010 Hopefully no games played as it will mean Kelvin has an injury free season (or we've signed a better back-up!).
Micky Posted 12 July, 2010 Share Posted 12 July, 2010 Simple really: P 46 HW 23 HD 0 HL 0 F 90 A 0 AW 23 AD 0 AL 0 F 90 A 0 Pts 138 Anything less will simply be failure and should result in AP and NC out FFS...!

Gigersaint Posted 12 July, 2010 Share Posted 12 July, 2010 Ok I'd probably go... P 46 HW 19 HD 3 HL 1 F 58 A 18 AW 10 AD 7 AL 6 F 42 A 23 Pts 97 Shefffield Wednesday for home defeat , several pitches still hindering away form somewhat, but hopefully still finishing on 97 pts with improved GS and GA with a complete team from the off building on overall results from last season. SuperMikey Posted 12 July, 2010 Share Posted 12 July, 2010 (edited) Please change 'Forecast' in the thread title to 'Predict', for a very scary moment there I thought he was going to be our #1 next season! My two cents; HOME (55pts from 69pts) Win - 17 Draw - 4 Lose - 3 AWAY (40pts from 69pts) Win - 11 Draw - 7 Lose - 4 Scored - 93 Conceded - 48 95pts ought to see us right up at the top, hopefully enough to grab the title although I suspect the likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield etc will be nipping at our heels for most of the season. Either way, it won't be an easy ride and it's ultimately up to the guys on the pitch to produce the performances we're all looking for as fans and custodians. COYRs! eelpie Posted 13 July, 2010 Share Posted 13 July, 2010 I do hope everyone's optimism is to be rewarded. Our defence should be stronger with the recent acquisitions and we will certainly frighten opposition with our attack, but we haven't yet strengthened our midfield. How do we break down sides that pack the goalmouth in away matches. We need a midfield schemer to challenge Schneiderlin when he is injured, and a tough ball-playing replacement for Wotton. We don't have the speed on the wings that we had last season with either Papa or Antonio who were fast and unpredictable, surprised defences and turned matches, and without them we are a more predictable team. Norwich last season were a complete outfit in all departments. We aren't yet if we are to make top spot. I expect us to do well, but reality check, please. Fair comment ep, still think 90 pts is fairly conservative.
chrisobee Posted 13 July, 2010 Share Posted 13 July, 2010 I've already predicted ( with the help of a few octopi ) every score for next season on the Prediction League. Unlike Micky we were a little more realistic, 42 wins and 4 draws I seem to recall ?

chrisobee Posted 14 July, 2010 Share Posted 14 July, 2010 Indeed and reaching 90 points and confirmation of promotion before Easter looks nailed on though I'm also working on the rather flawed theory only I will remember this thread by then:D
FreemantleSaint Posted 14 July, 2010 Share Posted 14 July, 2010 P 46 HW 16 HD 5 HL 2 F 52 A 13 AW 9 AD 8 AL 6 F 40 A 25 Pts 88 The 88 pts should see us promoted automatically but I don't think this season is going to be easy, especially with the tough first 6 or 7 away matches possibly seeing us off to a slow start (and what will NC be thinking about AP if we're not in the top two by mid-October??). I have a feeling that Sheff Wed might pip us to the title.
