Nicola Cortese

A number of threads have appeared on this site over the past months questioning some of the 'alleged' decisions being made by Nicola Cortese. These include, amongst others, preparing to sack AP, refusing season tickets to long standing fans who argue with him, and banning the Echo.

I've not idea how much truth there is in these stories, but what does bemuse me is why so many posters on this site are prepared to not question anything the management of 'our' club do.

The is a large and vociferous section of posters to this site who jump up and down claim 'treason' against those who posts these allegations.

Unchallenged authority is bad authority, whether that is a someone who runs a local league side or FIFA and every point in between.

ML is probably the best thing that has happened to Saints for decades, his being here is down to NC, for that we should be grateful. That doesn't mean we shouldn't question his every decision if we want the best for Southampton Football Club.

Blindly excepting NC's policies doesn't make you a better Saints fan, to my mind in makes you worse.

FFS. Another NC-bashing thread.

I wouldnt blame him if he f**ks off, takes ML with him, and goes for the easy money in banking.

Blindly accepting Burley's, Pardew's, even the Golden Duo's (yes, you remember who you are...) was Ok though...

Because every decision goes unquestioned on here? It's clear he's not necessarily endearing himself to everyone ever, but the antithesis to your unnecessary comment is also true. Taking exception (I've used the right word, you haven't) to every single tiny thing NC is reported (note the 'reported') to have done doesn't make you a better Saints fan, to my mind it makes you worse.

How many posts have you made congratulating things he HAS done? just out of interest. Like to see if you are being balanced in your view of NC as that is what p****s me off most.

You seem to only concentrate on 2 or 3 things he could have done better, but if anyone points out he has done many, many more things well yet as soon as it is mentioned, people are lambasted for 'blindly excepting NC's policies'. Friggin typical of some people on this board.

About the first post I have totally agreed with in months!
