Holding differing views on Saints

I have made a **** of myself today because I have committed the cardinal sin of not respecting a fellow fans right to hold a different view to me. And so I thought i'd start a thread on the subject because reading the forum lots of us, a growing number of us, perhaps even the majority of us are all guilty of this blatent deriliction of the fundamental diffence between the British free world values of freedom and the values of savages. For this I apologise and I hope others share my call for a time out and an effort to return the forum to how it was during the early S4E days. Banter and **** taking is one thing and i love being British because we are the undisputed kings of humour so more of that please and less of the other would be great.

I agree with your setiments, but IMO 60% of people on this forum are seriously deluded or mental, 20% are negative drama queens and panic merchants with the other 20% who are relatively realistic and actaully know what they are talking about.

The thing is you're one of the best posters on here because you have a real old school sense of humour (that sadly many don't get). Take your post on the locked thread - funny as ****, and even funnier because the recipient clearly didn't see the humour. More of that please mate because that is what makes the forum a laugh.

That's nonsense. I'm not going to speak for Turkish other than to give my opion that he is sound and a good laugh, but what I post is always, without exception what I believe to right. Yu might not like it, and my views may wellbe abhorrent to you, but I always endeavour to educate myself - especially on politics, and I never finch from what I believe. It's all about the times mate and what politicians deem to be the position the minions should hold. For example at a time of war xenophobia is actively encouraged, but in peace time it's a vile trait. You can even apply the same principle to the spanish main in the days when we clung to Port Royal. The sad thing Dune is that slowly others are coming around to this. I spend my time on here because I really enjoy watching so many remind me of home but also re-inforce the stereotype of the Whingeing Pom that actually made me want to leave in the first place.

 

It is sad that so many reasonable posters have taken offence or simply label this forum as full of depressing morons. BUT hopefully the past week has seen many many new or low count posters come back and I do think we have (on the whole) been good to them, Some may have not got our in-jokes "Joshing" them for being ITK or the HP/Sauce responses, BUT I actually hope that we can finally move on and welcome them.

 

The real moaners are funny, and actually sometimes right. The doom of a Saturday afternoon when we can only listen and type on here being so far away as another game goes t1ts up is always relieved by having a quiet bet with oneself at what point Alps will come on.

 

I have only ever had issues with one poster on here (as did many others) and I hold no regrets that after the Dubai Massive ganged up he vacated the scene. I tried the understand his point of view approach but no he truly was a nasty piece of work.

 

We all want the same damned thing. Saints winning things with our own players playing our own style. SOme of us fought tooth and nail to try and save the club, some of us tried to help by explaining.

 

But here we are. The King is Dead, Long Live the King of Saints FC

Match threads wouldnt be the same without Alpine and his chirpy tickles, and Delldays and his unrepitive gems of wisdom, but without doubt the highlight is always our dave, bless him.
