I fear cortese is playing a dangerous game by keeping fans in the dark as to the real reasons for Pardews sudden dismissal...... if he really wasnt good enough for the job why not have got rid of him at the end of last season giving the new guy pre season?

I would have a lot more respect for the guy if he just came out and said these are the resons why i feel it wasnt working and these are the reasons why we needed a change!

I still maintain that it wasnt for footballing reasons but some other dispute (we all know the alleged gf allegation) I just dont get why the man cant be honest!

A question do you think fans will turn on adkins first or cortese?

Didn't NC confirm this at the 'seasonticket out the hat' meeting the other night? To be honest if they keep serving up this ****e, it will be the players that the fans will turn on first.

What about the players? Most seem dispirited by the action and they need to be brought back on board. Players need to believe in the Saints Club. Most do not have that belief today. Adkins may only have a few weeks to sort it out.

And we all hope that Adkins can do now what Pardew clearly did not do pre-season.

He made it pretty clear at the questions thing that it wasn't about football. If it's for personal reasons it would be wrong to announce it to the public. If you were sacked for a misdemeanor, would you like it if your boss announced your personal details to every customer? Note that Pardew has also been happy for details not to be released. What we have here is a chairman who knows how to be professional and fans used to a world where that's pretty rare. I'm certain that if reason's for Pardew's sacking were released just to satisfy people's curiosity, Pardew would have very good grounds for suing the club.

So its something along the lines of gross miss-conduct a sackable offence that has nothing to do with football issues? maybe it was the excuse cortese needed as it was clear there was a rift from the beggining

For heavens sake, as others have said, this is just recycling the same old stuff from a dozen other threads.

No, he really didn't. He made a statement along the lines of "I can't talk about it but I had no choice." Which neither confirms nor denies things one way or the other. He could simply have aluded that Pardew and staff refused to work with Reed's side of the house, therefore going against Cortese's blueprint for management of the club, therefore leaving himno choice but to find another man. Don't try and misinterpret words just to suit your argument, especially when the club have issued a public statement on the matter.
