After last years success we are starting this years fundraising for Kevin shortly!

Last year we managed to raise around £22,000 to help care for Kevin.

This year the golf day is Friday 7th october will be the same location and format as last year and will be first come first served so let me know if you need further details.

We also have 2 fundraisers going in the echo in the next week, one being for fans to donate there old shirts that will then be sold on eBay and signed and dedicated to the winner by mlt if you want.

The next is a chance to be part of the ex saints squad to play Pompey and will get at least 20 minutes of match play.

This will be updated asap !

Below is an update I recently received from his wife Mandy.

Kevin has good days and not so good days.He remains cheerful and settled but physically is deteriorating. He can no longer have a conversation but will answer a question and sometimes with the right answer ! His mobility is not so good and I don't take him out in the car as he is unsafe getting in and out.He walks very slowly and needs someone with him at all times.Turning round to sit in a chair is difficult and he needs help to stand. He remains very well cared for and that gives us comfort and confidence that he is in the right place.

If anyone wishes to help in anyway please feel free to contact me.

Coming from me?

It's sad for Kevin and his wife and family and also sad that the club can't help a loyal ex player with an advert the size of a business card in a league one program.

However its not for me to decide if the club should support sick ex players.

Kevin also played for grimsby and fulham who have been very involved in helping!

I will also add when I say the club that excludes Nigel Adkins.

I have made a note to readers that the club has not got back to us as of yet so if someone reads this who works at the club they may want to address it and make a comment or check that the email we sent even reached them?

I was under tge impression its Forum rules not to make comments that could end up in people suing people, hence why I made my comment and added no name, if you would like to delete it as it's not aimed at anyone in particular then please feel free to do so.

So just to confirm you are relying on the Echo to help out with this very worth cause - well done the Echo say I.

But you're having a pop at a club for not helping out an ex player when only days ago you were on your high horse droning on about ex players being nothing more than ex-exployees of a company not deserving of hand outs etc etc.

Glad to see the Echo, the local paper, providing an excellent service here. Well done the Echo. They're good, aren't they, local papers, eh? Well done the Echo.

When is this worthy cause going on your beloved Official Club Website exactly, by the way? And who is the dirty pig?
