He obviously hasn't studied the league table!

During the Hudds v Notts County match The Sky Sports summarizer (didn't catch his name) irritatingly kept pointing out that Hudds were opening up a four point advantage over Peterborough as though they are the only threat. Hardly a mention of Saints even though we have 3 games in hand. He concluded by stating that Hudds will get the second automatic promotion place. Who knows he might prove to be correct but Notts County were absolutely dire today. Come on Saints prove the ------ wrong. £45 a month for that!!!

7 games left, 3 of them against the top 5, two of them away, i wouldn't say that is a decent run in!! Seriously though, when you watch two teams you have no real interest in apart from one of them is in "our" spot, you realise how poor L1 is, an awful game.

Isn't the summarizer the bloke who sits with the commentator, he's the one who watches the live action, keeping his gob shut, and then commentating on the slo-mo, usually wrongly until the 3rd or 4th viewing. In this case it was Don Goodman, a berk of the very highest order.

I heard all the comments made by both Don Goodman and Craig Short and also felt that they downplayed Saints position completely ! Noticably though, Lee Clark did not !

To be fair, they were reporting on the match in front of them so their focus had to be on Huddersfield in the main as they were the dominant team !

It probably goes to show that we are not on everybody's radar and that we can at times become a bit self-obsessed !

Personally I think that this is a good thing, we need to go about our business on our own terms and to hell with what anybody else thinks !!

Lets just quietly go about the job in hand, never mind a bloody commentator on Sky !

In last Mondays Peterbro game he said THREE bloody times that Posh had come from 3 down against us !!

To make the mistake once is bad enough but FFS, 3 times !

Even worse was that the guy that said it was the one that was covering the Saints game and was there watching it a matter of weeks ago for his job.

Said that they needed to win all 7 games left as Saints and Posh were very good teams and were breathing down their necks !!

So, that'll be 91 points. So we need 8 wins and 2 draws if they max out their points. If they max out, Peterboro can only get to 87 points.

I reckon we need 22 points from 30 for auto, so 87 points total. I can't see Huddersfield getting more than 17 points from 21 or Peterborough getting more than 21 from 24....so 2 defeats and a draw.

10 straight wins from here would be nice though!

I agree with you, I only mentioned Lee Clark's quote because I was asked but I reckon that they have no chance of 7 wins out of 7 !!

Craig Short, the former Notts County manager.

His lack of footballing knowledge and attention to detail maybe why he lost his job...

Was he the chap a certain Neil Ruddock head-butted during the Brantfoot era? Against Notts County I think.

If I remember Neil ran the entire length of the field to get involved in the rumpus, "cocked his head back" as he passed the halfway line and then landed the butt on wrong man. I remember the chap sitting next to me almost collapsing with laughter as the inevitable red card was brandished. Classic Ruddock.

But the ref missed the Ian Dowie upper cut in the same melee!
