Goalie66 Posted 10 April, 2011 Share Posted 10 April, 2011 So far all the teams that have got a point or won at St Mary's have been beaten at their place. So far we have won at : Orient 2-0 after 1-1 draw Notts County 3-1 before 0-0 draw Colchester 2-0 after 0-0 draw So what are the odds on wins at : Rochdale Brighton Brentford Plymouth Also we have beaten all promoted sides 3-1 at their place. Promotion assured then !!!

Lighthouse Posted 10 April, 2011 Share Posted 10 April, 2011 Alternatively.... Out of the 7 teams left to play, we've only beaten Bristol Rovers so far this season (drew 0-0 at H'pool and lost 1-0 in Poland in the other 2). Doom etc.
SaintBobby Posted 11 April, 2011 Share Posted 11 April, 2011 Nice stats. I think we have a fair chance of getting something out of each and every one of those four games. On paper, Brighton the toughest, obviously. If we win those four games...and beat Hartelpool and Walsall at SMS ...we'd have taken at least 3 points off every team in the division. But, here's the thing....being a little less optimistic....if we get draws or wins away at Rochdale, Brentford and Plymouth, then NO ONE will have done the double over us in the League this year. When did that last happen?
David Strover Posted 11 April, 2011 Share Posted 11 April, 2011 All we have to do is score (admittedly this is all from memory) but I think we have only failed to gain a result in one league match in which scored, 2-3 at Carlisle United, all other defeats have been, 'Southampton 0' and the worst we've done is draw....I'm not sure this means anything either! saint peter Posted 13 April, 2011 Share Posted 13 April, 2011 Who here thought Rochdale would do the double over us at the start of the season..! There's always that 'thorn' in our side team' to plague us !!!! .... Don't want to think about it but can just imagine Saints only making the play-offs and then being dumped out by the 'MIGHTY' Rochdale !!!! Just think about Derby a few years ago in the Championship play-offs !!!!!!!!!!!!

Window Cleaner Posted 16 April, 2011 Share Posted 16 April, 2011 Who here thought Rochdale would do the double over us at the start of the season..! Concurrence of circumstances in their favour. We had Wilkins in charge at home and a very substandard team away.Do you honestly think they would have beaten our first XI on Tuesday?
