I know it was a clear 50/50 challenge neither player should have been booked but if the ref had sense and wanted to brandish a card then a yellow each would have done, he lost control after that and was intent on pulling Saints up on almost anything and everything

For those that want to watch again.

Still can't believe how Euell got a red for that!

I know most of us believe it was never a red, but if you had never seen that before, and only had one chance to see it (i.e. if you were the ref), I can understand how it looks bad. Never a red though.

Also on that page (seeing as I can't start threads), theres a thing about the worst ever top flight goalkeepers, and Jones is one of them...seems harsh to me!

About half the people in that list shouldn't be there.

I agree, glad the mentioned this one though

1) Massimo Taibi. Dubbed the 'Blind Venetian', the Italian played just four games for United, and his horrible gaffe against Southampton has been included in almost every football blooper compilation. Taibi allowed the ball through his legs as Matthew Le Tissier touched the weakest of shots towards him. The last of his appearances in a United shirt was a 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Chelsea - one of only three occasions in the last 25 years they have suffered such a hefty defeat.

I'm more angry about the defending. No organisation and acres of space on both goals. Happy with Pearce, he just needs an experienced defender alongside him to organise the defence. Perry or Killer when fit fine by me...

True, that was equally gash.

Looking back at the 'highlights' Cork really didn't have a good game , who would have thought starting the season with no specialist full backs would prove to be a problem

As for playing an experienced CB alongside Pearce that really is a no-brainer , Perry clearly should have started and the reasoning why he didn't remains a mystery only our esteemed head coach could explain .
