Spades Posted 4 January, 2009 Share Posted 4 January, 2009 What id give to get Harewood in on loan. 10x better than mcgoldrick and a big figure up top that will be able to hold the ball up. Add that to the possibility of getting Dailly back to steady the defence and perhaps Baird if the surman - baird loan swap rumours are true... we may be in a better position to fight this battle
Badger Posted 4 January, 2009 Share Posted 4 January, 2009 As posted by St.Patrik on the Christian Dailly thread. Interesting it's from a Midlands paper. Perhaps it has some mileage??? I can't help but thinking the mileage in this rumour is that it has travelled from a Southampton forum to a Birmingham newspaper. Hope its true as he'd be an improvement on DG but would have expected other lower prem/better placed CCC clubs to be ahead of us in the que. Also, wages ? Gorgiesaint Posted 4 January, 2009 Share Posted 4 January, 2009 Marlon Harewood on the bench for AV v Gills ATM and likely to be brought on :smt102 Coming on now, although how likely are we to need him in the FA cup?? He is behind Carew, Agbonlahor & Defaunso (sp) in the pecking order with Villa linked with Crouch, Heskey, Owen, etc in January window.

rooney Posted 6 January, 2009 Share Posted 6 January, 2009 A highly paid striker who many premiership clubs would like and every CCC would want? Hmmmm. Somehow seems a tad unlikely! If we cannot afford to play John and Rasiak how on earth could we even dream about Harewood?
Alain Perrin Posted 6 January, 2009 Share Posted 6 January, 2009 Because if he's on less than £32K a week (John and Rasiak's combined wage) then we'll be better off....
Dan Johnson Posted 6 January, 2009 Share Posted 6 January, 2009 Because if he's on less than £32K a week (John and Rasiak's combined wage) then we'll be better off.... We are not paying Rasiak or Johns wages though... Stern Johns contract is up at the end of the season and he is now at Bristol City till the end of the season... and he's been told he isnt getting a new contract, John will never play for this club again, as I expect, will be the same for Rasiak
