Why is smith in the starting team?

He's playing quite well to be fair.....

:|

Shows how far we have fallen if statements like that are being made about performances like that.

The only things I can remember him doing were hitting a long ball to nobody by the corner flag and dribbling along the halfway line. It's like having Sideways Jim back again.

Bit like saying H was the best member of Steps.

The fact you know the members of Steps says a lot.

what more was he meant to do? He ran at defenders, got past his marker a few times, and did well to set himself up for a good opportunity.

Idiotic reply i have come to expect from you Mr Arizona

So we are that good we have a player that will create 1 chance in a game.....hhm no wonder we are so through to the next round....

as opposed to those who didnt create a chance?

we were playing Man Utd, with a pretty much full strength defence that they have at there disposal.

He was alright today. Little service, did what he could. Showed a couple of lovely touches and then got too excited having run rings around the United defence.

He's young.

Some of you don't appear to have reached his age mentally yet.

and some of you are so happy to accept any mediocrity thats thrown at you and toe the party line and accept the bullshine the OS gives you.

Some of us can actually see that he is in the side for one reason only - he is cheap. One good run a game against a side playing at half pace is not going to get us goals or create anything.

A left footer on the right is so easy for a defender.

Surman Morgan Gillet BWP would of been worth a go.

1. I can honnestly say H is the only member of Steps I can name. (And that's only from Never Mind the Buzz****s.)

2. Not being idiotic, it's a similie. I was simply making the point that outperforming Gobern, DMG and Paterson was about as dificult as finding Chavs in a McDonalds (see, there's another one)

3. Running at defenders a couple of times doesn't make a good performance for me. As far as I'm concerned 5 shots on goal with 2 on target would suggest a poor game from everyone. One of those was a 40yard daisy cutter anyway.

Are you really that stupid or do you have to work at it?

I know that he isn't that good. That's why he is here and cost NOTHING.

I'm sorry, should I be expecting Theirry Henry on a free from Milwall??

FFS - get a grip man.

He did what he could with what he could. But go ahead. Blame him for the fact that we are in the cr4p with no money and a Chairman who is a clown.

Jees - excuse me. I'm off to a site where everyone has already had a frontal labotamy to get a bit more sense...

Bye you won't be missed especially when you post things that aren't there you gormless dickweed!

Where the **** did I say he is to blame for the chairman and no money?

The problem does not just lie with the chairman but as I have continually posted for the last 6/7 home games its the manager that is out of his depth picking Smith and putting him on the right.

Still you have gone now to another site thank **** so wont read this.

Er... Does not compute. Are you suggesting that having 5 shot on goal against Man Utd isn't a bad return?

If it were a full strength Man Utd team, I might agree. However they were missing Ferdinand, Ronaldo, Tevez and Rooney (for large parts) and never got out of second gear.

I wasn't expecting us to tear them appart, but to have at least made them work a bit at the back would have been nice.

Because we have been doing that so well all season?

We are toothless in the Championship but you expected BETTER against the World Champions.

Being sh*t going forward the rest of the season doesn't mean it's fine to do it against Man Utd.

No I didn't expect us to be better against Utd, but I am not happy about it either.

But we are no good going forward. And suddenly today you thought what?

That Henry and Ronaldo had been granted a wish like Tom Hanks in Big??

Jeez, I really can't explain it any more simply that that.

We have been crap up front all season. We were crap again today.

It's like fighting in Gaza. I wasn't expecting everything to suddenly be fine this afternoon, but that doesn't mean it's fine and we shouldn't be unhappy about it.

Because people are being naive if they expected a poor team to compete against the World Champions, European Cup Holders and League Winners.

Happy now?

i was expecting gillingham (who are also completly broke) to have rolled over against villa...I blieve the gap is even bigger between them two..

as for world champions (yes they were going to win today)

but no ronaldo, tevez, ferdinand, rafeal, brown, evra, hargreaves, scholes, rooney (sub), park

y'know, the crux of players who made them champions...so yes, I expected us to fight (i know we had a few out too) and at least test their keeper once or twice...

On that we agree.

We are poor. That needs sorting quick.

So presumably Forest fans who dared to hope for a win were "naive".

Clearly 95 times out of 100, Man U will beat this awful Saints team.

That doesn't mean the manager's ludicrous decisions or the players' limp, scared, gutless performances cannot be questioned.

Irrelavant comparison.

Age of Gillingham team? Experience? Manager? Situation??

We are poor. Have been all season bar two/three performances. We we as good today as we have been. Not very.

We need change.

A win today would have been great, and would have been lauded. By the same people who say we need a change of manager and Chairman. So let's have some consistency eh?
